OK so I might get to do a roller coaster this summer, but I'm a sissy. Which one is the tamest ? Keep in mind I was scared out of my mind on Everest and I *need* to have my feet touching something at all times. No dangling legs for me!

I would have to say that Flight of the Hippogriff (formerly know as Flight of the Unicorn) would be the tamest. It is a newly re-themed coaster at IOA. Good luck and have fun!:thumbsup2

The tamest by far is Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster at the Studios followed next by Flight of the Hippograff at IOA.

Revenge of the Mummy is fairly tame. I can do Space Mountain, BTMRR and this one.

What is the Flight of the Hippengroff?

It's a kiddie coaster. It's more intense than Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse coaster, but nowhere close to ROTM.

I wouldn't call The Mummy tame..if they don't like Everest then there's a chance they won't like the mummy. It has some drops and goes pretty fast.

Well, they didn't say they couldn't do SM. From a verified ride chicken, Mummy is more like a short version of SM, but faster. The highest drop is 39 feet. EE has an 80 foot drop:scared1: It really depends on what they don't like about coasters. You could not pay me enough to get on EE, ToT, RnRC, or Splash Mountain at WDW or any of the coasters at US/IOA except Mummy.

Imo SM is just a kids ride inside and in the dark. I wouldn't even compare the two they are that far off.

Your right though it rly depends on what you wouldn't like about a coaster or are (afraid?) of. No reason to be a sissy....They have safety restraints. Just get on the ride and enjoy yourself. In fact unless you read about it you won't even know what happens on the Mummy.

I consider Mummy tame. Its not all scary with big drops and visually like I said you aren't looking at ppl doin the slow train thingy to the top to get you scared.

Do the Mummy if you want to ride a coaster, Woody is like the equivalent to sliding down a slide in excitement. Its a vacation...live a little. ;)

Unless your rly short....Your feet won't dangle. :)

IMHO, if you can handle Space Mountain and want to try something a little more intense (without going to the RnRC, Hulk, or Dragons level) then Mummy is a good next step. If Space Mountain is too much, then I think Mummy would be as well.

Mummy doesn't have the same vertical drops that Everest has, but there is a part where you do go backwards. In addition, some of it is dark and I thought it went pretty fast. There are no loops and/or inversions.

I was very nervous at first because my kids kept saying "Come on Mom, it's great, you'll love it!" and that's usually exactly when I should avoid whatever ride they're advertising, but it actually was fun, I really enjoyed the theming, and I went on multiple times.

Bah shame on that spoiler!!! So minor though if you can back out of a driveway that should never both you.

:lmao: That is EXACTLY why I posted on this exact board last year while we were at US/IOA! DS kept telling me it wasn't bad, and I would like it. I got some opinions here and decided it was okay. Sad that I trust people here more than I trust my own child. I really did find it to be no worse than SM and the roller coaster part is a lot shorter than SM. For me, a roller coaster in the dark is a lot better, because I don't know when to anticipate the drops.

The backwards part on ROTM = :)
The backwards part on Everest =

Everest is fun, but that backwards part is brutal. If you can handle EE, you'll LOVE rotm.

Thanks for the tips :thumbsup2
What scared me most on EE wasn't so much the drops, but the speed of it, and also the fact that it was so high up. Never done Space Mountain, it just wasn't something I thought of doing until the last trip, and it was closed then. Not too crazy about being in the dark either (yeah I'm a chicken).

The coaster that attracted me the most at Universal is Rip Ride Rockit , because of the theme and there's no shoulder restraints, and it just looks so cool ! How fast is that one ?

Rockit is about 15 mph faster the Everest which is a fairly slow coaster already.

The Mummy is slightly slower then Everest.

From my google search(Which may or may not be 100% accruate) it looks like Rockit is 65 followed by Everest at 50 and Mummy at 45mph.
