talked to a CM last night about Codes- this is interesting!

While booking a package and a room only reservation last night- I asked about codes for the room only-

We had a LENGTHY discussion on these- when they come out- which are better etc.. and she said something I didnt know

Room Only Codes- can be applied to a PACKAGE room.. I said "HUH?"...never heard of that. and she went on to explain that if a room only code comes out- the rate for the room drops- which in turn drops the package rate. you can use for instance a code of BAT for a package as well as a room only.

I was flabergasted... who knows if she's right..but she seemed very informative about the historic release dates etc.. I double checked on mousesavers, and she was right on the money.???

who knew- I'm gonna try it as soon as the 05 codes come out and see if it works LOL

Sort of. There are separate codes for packages. The room portion of the packages will be discounted to the same rates as the equivalent "room-only" discount code.

This has been true for the past two years.

This is true!

I was able to apply my post card to my package for this December.

Got AKL pool view for 121 a night and I just needed to pay the difference from POP at rack rate to AKL at code rate.

Hey cranbiz, we did the same thing. Moved from CBR to AKL the first week of December. Such great rates, why pass it up!
