Talk to me about the Family Cabanas at Lookout-worth the $1100 pricetag?

Was able to snag family cabana #16 at Lookout for our spring break trip, next Marc (we are not sailing concierge). Hubby and I have been to Lookout once, our kids have not been. Family of 7, 5 kids ages ranging 5-17 so it will cost us $1100. We have never done a cabana before, I am reading that even though time on the island is 10-5:30 (and the booking says 8 hours) you are only allotted about 11-4pm in the cabana. Have also previously read about possible erosion issues on that stretch of beach, so wondering from anyone who has recently sailed how the experience was. Any and all details and experiences are welcome as we decide to pull the trigger or not on this. $1100 could be a deposit on another cruise, but they're so hard to snag and I would love to experience it at some point so leaning towards yes (to my hubby's dismay, haha!)
