Talk to me about Club Level

So my husband and I just got back from our honeymoon (Alaska on the Wonder!) and I’m obviously in the post Disney blues and already thinking about the Orlando trip we’re planning for 2028.
When we went in 2024 we stayed at POFQ with our last night in a theme park view at Bay Lake, and we loved doing a split stay at the end of our trip. So we’re thinking that next time we want to do two nights at a Deluxe so we can really take advantage of the resort, and are considering Club Level.
What are your fave resorts for Club Level? The main draw for us will be a nice calm place to chill with good snacks (we’re aiming for September so not peak crowds) and bonus points for a nice bar/lounge on site as we are cocktail fans. Less concerned about what pool is on site as it’s not a high priority for us.
Thanks!

The folks on the Club Level thread were very helpful when I was deciding which resort last trip -

I’ve only tried Club Level at 2 resorts (Disneyland Hotel and Contemporary) so can’t help much with comparing. We loved both of them!

Yup, that thread is the place to go for CL comparisons and info!

Before you dive too deep though just make sure you know price wise what you are looking at. Some people do all the research before price checking and get sticker shock.
Many of us who have stayed CL before still get sticker shock when we look at current CL pricing.

One way to - perhaps - moderate pricing is the 4 people in the room. WDW changes an extra fee for more than 2 adults, but the CL rate is otherwise a fixed fee, unlike the Dining Plan, which is per person.

Since you mention September, at that time of year afternoon/evening storms are common, that's part of why the price is lower. At that time of year, it is nice if you can get from your room, to the main resort without having to get wet.

All the WDW CL's offer beer and wine. IF you want cocktails + Club Level, I suggest the Hard Rock CL over at Universal. That whole hotel has a fun rock vibe, with multiple bar/lounge options in addition to the CL. In the CL you can get an assortment of cocktails. the WDW lounges don't offer much in the way of cocktails.

One option - perhaps- within WDW would be to stay at one of the Epcot area deluxes (BWK/BC/YC), then - so long as it isn't raining- you could venture to any lounge at any of them, plus the bars at the Swan/Dolphin and Swan Reserve. You would also be close to Epcot and the Food and Wine Festival. A monorail resort would give you fairly easy access to the bars at the 3 monorail resorts, but they tend to cost more than the others.

The Club level thread will give you lots of food photos, so you can see what they offer.

I've stayed CL at CR and POLY.
I am staying CL at POLY again this summer.
I really enjoy the POLY atmosphere. Very chill perhaps other than in the morning if there are families like there were last summer where the parents basically encouraged the kids to run into the lounge and push ahead of adults trying to get their food.
I mean that was just one family so probably not a very common occurrence I would hope.
The rest of the day was very calm.
POLY has multiple great bars/cocktails.

I think Poly CL is the best bang for the overall buck when it comes to a resort/CL combination. It's got the views, the vibe, a great lounge, food/beverage options are pretty decent. Lots of resort bars/amenities and you can walk to the TTC for Epcot, GF for more options. It's just a great overall package.

Is it perfect? No. Poly has the highest guest room to lounge ratio of the resorts and there are some service times where you feel it, especially breakfast. Poly is particularly popular for families, sometimes the noise and general kids running around can be bothersome for adults. I personally don't mind it and just adjust when/if needed, but it's a common observation. September can sometimes be little kid heavy as those young enough to not be in school often travel that time of year, plus a few religious holidays here and there.

I'd put GF CL up there on the list too - lovely lounge, great offerings, a little more adult vibe (but still plenty of kids of course). Same good access to resort bars/amenities.

All the CLs have various pros/cons, I don't really have a problem with any of them - but tend to lean with the above based on what you describe.

We have only stayed at the CR club level and both times were fine. We stayed for 3 nights tacked onto the end of a DVC trip. We stayed on the 12th floor on the TPV side. We found the CMs to be helpful and solicitous. The food was fine - nothing over the top, but tasty and plentiful and replenished as needed. The grandkids loved the view from the lounge (even though it was basically the same view in our room). There were plenty of seating options on our visits, but we often returned to our rooms with plates too. We found the beer and liquor options to be adequate with good variety.

We would like to try out the club levels at the Coronado tower and at the WL as well. For the tower we’d want to have a car (easier with the younger grandkids) and for the WL we’d tack on that portion after a stay at either BRV or CCV. The Poly is also on our wish list.
