Please!! I know it sounds weird, but I've never used the DDP plan before. How does it work?

I imagine they ask/we tell them we're on the DDP and they take our card.. or all of our cards? (we're in one room/one reservation) and then they "charge" the card(s)?

What about snacks? Say if I want to use a snack credit on one item, but want to buy something with cash (a drink, not wasting a credit on a cheap drink!! haha)at the same time.. can I do that?

I leave in 19 days and I'm starting to get anxiety. :)

It really is that simple. Just hand them one card and tell them which credit you want to use and how many IE you and another adult both are eating lunch and want to use a CS credit. they then deduct from your acct. If you want to bhuy seomthing using a snack credit and something else with cash in the same transacation, tell them to use only 1 snack credit and pay cash for the other. It really makes it simple. You can also use a TS credit for a CS if you have extra but not the other way around! Have a GREAT trip!

Thanks for the reply! It does sound simple, I just like to be reassured! :)

At table service (TS) locations, the server will always ask (at least, they're supposed to). After you tell them you're on the plan, they will explain the entitlements to you (although at buffets, for example, this is pretty brief!).

At counter service (CS) and snack locations, you really need to let the CM know you plan on using credits. Some CS locations actually have a laminated card you can look at while waiting in line that shows your DDP options.

All credits for the room are pooled and can be accessed by any of the cards. You only need to use a single card to "pay".

What about snacks? Say if I want to use a snack credit on one item, but want to buy something with cash (a drink, not wasting a credit on a cheap drink!! haha)at the same time.. can I do that?

As noted above, in any case where you want to make sure you're being charged properly (specifically, wanting to use fewer credits that what you're ordering for), just tell the CM how you want them to do it. E.g., "I'd like to get the pretzel with a snack credit, and I'll pay cash for the coke".

always check your reciept. at the bottom of it it will say how may entitlements used, and how many are left. That is a good way of knowing how many you have. Also, make sure to check your reciept for snacks. Make sure to say I want to use my snack credit for these. Also be sure to specify which items you want to charge or pay cash for. I bought a pastry at animal kingdom, at a cart, and said I want to use my snack credit for these. I almost just shoved the reciept in my pocket and off we went, but luckily i did look b/c they didnt use the snack credit they charged it to my room! I went back and told them so they credited me back and then gave it to me for free. I've also had at the MK bakery where at the register the girl says, 'that is not on the snack credits." Luckily I saw the smoothie on the menu that hangs on the wall with the snack credit icon next to it before i ordered it. So then I pointed it and then she said ok.
