My DFi and I are going to Dis in a few weeks with his DD, 9. Is MGM worth seeing to her? In fact, would my DFi even like it? He's not into roller coasters or heights, neither is Lizzie (DD)

Great movie ride, backlot tour, Muppets, Indiana Jones, good food. Just to name a few. I don't do 'scary' rides and always manage to have a fabulous time. Do not forget Fantasmic! to end your day.

Now I love MGM as much as the next girl, but if you only have 2 park days might have to go with Epcot or even AK over MGM. Might be worth the extra bucks to upgrade to park hoppers so you could hit all 4 parks in days. Maybe a morning in AK, follwed by afternoon/evening in MK to watch Wishes. Next day - MGM in the am to hit the biggies and Epcot in the afternoon/evening for Illuminations.
Call me crazy - or a glutton for Disney - but I'd have to vote for a 2 day, 4 park whing ding. And think how fun it would be to constantly say "whing ding" for 2 days! :rotfl2:

If he likes shows, take in a few sets by the Streetmosphere troupe (street performances, somewhat scripted, lots of improv).

You said he's a NASCAR fan. How about the Stunt Spectacular? Its cars whizzing and doing tricks? Eat at SCi-FI Dine In (you sit in cars)? Indiana Jones show or Star Wars ride?

If he won't do RR or ToT that I would suggest EPCOT, as much as I love MGM my husband who doesn't ride the thrill rides due to back and hip problems does not like much at MGM, he'll go for a few hours but having said that my favorites at MGM are: Indiana Jones, Animation Tour(with doing the drawing afterwards), Little Mermaid, WWTBM, the stunt show was okay when I saw it. My husband enjoys Star Tours.

DF and I LOVE MGM. We prefer MGM to AK. We love the Muppets 3-D. The Great Movie Ride is corny fun and the Backlot Tour is cute. Being big sci-fi and Star Wars fans, we always do Star Tours and enjoy it. We really liked Lights, Motor, Action, too. For a special dinner, Brown Derby is outstanding food. Pricey but good. And you absolutely do not want to miss Fantasmic! Try a Fantasmic dinner package, so you can sit in the reserved section for Fantasmic. Great fun! Have a great trip!

There are lots of neat things to see at MGM. We (dh & I) enjoyed Indianna Jones, Muppets 3D, Backlot tour. I have heard the new motor show they have is cool. We will check that out in December. Also Fantasmic was really good.
However Animal Kingdom and Epcot are great too! Tough to decide. Guess that gives you an excuse to go back to WDW so you can do the other parks. :teeth:

I'd do EPCOT over MGM. Much more to see and do there.

My vote is for getting hoppers and doing all four. You can rest when you get back to Daytona. If you go to MGM definately check out Lights, Motors, Action and Indiana Jones. EPCOT would be lots of fun too though.

If he's a Nascar fan like my hubby, he would enjoy Test Track at Epcot - they even have Nascar t-shirts in the gift shop there. Also, make sure he does the Richard Petty Driving Experience, either at Daytona Speedway or the Disney World track - we did the ride-along and it was amazing! Have fun!
