Tales of Frustration-Anyone Else shut out of BOG?

Starting calling at 7, got through around 9:45. Dec 4 unavailable for dinner for 4 people. Also 12/3-5 unavailable

Hoping that something will open up for dinner 12/4 in the MK with all the BOG changes, have been trying for weeks and there is nothing.

Got up and started calling at 7 am. After over 4 hours I finally got through.

I gave the cast member 5 dates for our trip, one day is the candellight pkg.

She said there was nothing Nov. 26-Dec lst for a party of 2.

The CM told me to call back tomm as people are double booking for their party sizes?? That didnt sound right, but I didnt want to say anything to her. I just hung up because I was so sad.

At least we have our LTT and Plaza Adrs for dinner.

Guess we will do the counter service at the BOG rest. but it does not seem like it will be the same atmosphere as a sit down dinner etc.

Those were my dates, too, and even starting at 7 am, I got bupkiss. Very frustrating...

Don't give up. I still believe that there are people who do not have trips booked yet and will change their minds. This was more of a just in case type thing for some. Even after you arrive if nothing has opened up, I would still try. Good luck!

Who on earth would put themselves through this nightmare "just in case"?

Fortunately I was able to get through to the DVC member services number shortly after 9 and get a dinner reservation for our second-choice date (11/26). There were no times available on 11/27 or 11/25 even at 9am.

You never know. We are traveling with a group of 12, my family is only 4 and I wasn't able to finally determine who else wanted to go to BOG so I just made a reservation for 8, depending on what others in our party decide to do we may be dropping 2-4 of those.

We are going 11/24 thru 11/29, staying club level, I called 2 weeks ago to be put on a list for BOG and they said they were only having soft openings and not taking res. for the time we were there. I called 7-9am today and could not get thru. Called CL at 9am and could not get the day we would be there for MVMCP. She did tell be that they should have put my name on a list 2 weeks ago. The 1st thing she did this morning was make res.'s for all the guest on her list.

I tried calling for 6 hours today. Once, the automated system disconnected me. When I finally got through again, the cast member disconnected me. This is beyond unfair. I started calling at 7 AM. What a waste of 6 hours that I will never get back.

Yep - shut out after more than 300 redials over 4 hours. Nothing for the entire length of our trip. Even tried changing up party size so at least my DD could go.

Then I read that people have booked more than one time. Wasn't upset until then.

I wouldn't give up especially once you are able to book online. Unfortunately you are going to get people who make multiple bookings on different days and times and will decide closer to their vacation which day and time they want to keep. Bad for everyone now, but it will probably open up quite a few dates and times as you get closer to your trip. Just keep checking.

In the same boat here, up at 5:45am. Dialed for almost 2 hours. Finally got through on the disabilities line. Girl I talked to checked 2 dates for me, said sorry everything is booked and disconnected. Started dialing again, 2 1/2 hours later got through on wdisney line. Guy I talked to said nothing Nov 27 - Dec 15. Morning completely wasted. I too was getting pretty aggravated with watching the boards and seeing people making more than one reservation and calling back to add a cc, when all I was doing was listening to the busy signal.

Called this afternoon to ask about Dec. 19. No luck but I didn't really hold out much hope in the first place. May have to wait until the "new" wears off! Oh well.

How do you book online? I tried but "Be Our Guest" isn't recognized. I thought I'd read somewhere that online reservations for BOG didn't start until Wednesday.

Yep and I've been eye-rolled to death when observing that maybe it wasn't really awesome to book 2 or 3 ADRs for your trip when you could do a dinner and a counter service lunch or 2 to experience everything.

We were ALL in the same boat trying to get reservations. Had I got one, I would have been happy with that one. It wouldn't have even occurred to me to try for multiple days during my trip.

That's correct. It is supposed to be online Wed AM. I think the PP was just saying it will be easier to keep checking for openings once that starts.

I think the Disney Blog has been genuis for Disney. Instead of leaked information from other sources and only people on DIS, etc.... finding out about it - they get to leak the info themselves.

yeah, i got scorched for expressing these sentiments, as well as saying non-disabled people should NOT be using the Disability number just because they can...

it DID occur to me to do more than one but i quickly decided one was enough and to let some other family have that spot.

oh, well...i still feel that way and would even if i didn't have a ressie.
