Tales of Frustration-Anyone Else shut out of BOG?

After 2 hours on hold I got in straight to the automated service. Even got a time on my desired date. Then the machine couldn't understand my name and put me on hold. 1 hour and 15 minutes later every night of my vacation is totally booked. 3 1/2 hours for nothing! So frustrated :(
 
Oh man!

I am so sorry to hear that. I would call back in a few days. Some people are making ressies and don't even have trips booked. Also, we were told that ressies made through the automated system would be cancelled, so you may have luck!
 
I'm really sorry guys. We were on hold well over an hour and I got through right at 7 am. What annoyed me a few minutes ago was my DW went onto FB. She belongs to Walt Disney World Updates on there. They had the WRONG info on there. They still had that reservations were to be made AFTER Noon! Can you imagine all of those people who were going by THAT info? If you are a DW Update page....then just MAYBE KEEP UP WITH UPDATES! Good luck, maybe something else will open up.
 

I was hoping for Dec 1,2,3 or 4. Why would all the automated calls be cancelled?

Oh no, where did you hear that? Glad we talked to someone and had to put a CC as a hold. I was surprised when I saw people were doing automated and not having to put a hold with a card.
 
Yep I got totally shut out. We wanted Dec 2nd, 5th or 9th and couldn't get anything for those dates. The best I could do was on the 5th at 5:05, but I got disconnected while doing the automated line and it was gone by the time I finished fighting with the busy signal. I never liked the idea much before, but I loathe ADRs now.
 
Oh no, where did you hear that? Glad we talked to someone and had to put a CC as a hold. I was surprised when I saw people were doing automated and not having to put a hold with a card.

The Dining CMs told us. We've seen mixed results as to whether agents are able to modify the ressie to add the CC. I was able to do it.
It's conceivable that there were some people who called who won't read the boards, and won't know to call back with a CC and their ressies will be cancelled.

I'm so sorry for those that will not know. I can't imagine assuming you are good to go and then show up for your reservation only to be turned away. I'm pretty sure DW would pass out on the spot.

We had the exact same thing happen - couldn't understand the last name so it transferred us and then nothing. They told us sorry and to keep checking back. We got up at 5am for this. Just want to cry!

Don't give up. I still believe that there are people who do not have trips booked yet and will change their minds. This was more of a just in case type thing for some. Even after you arrive if nothing has opened up, I would still try. Good luck!

Some early dates in December have no availability and are a black-out. I am not sure if this is for media, cast members, a special event, etc. Maybe because they are not loaded, the system didn't recognize the request and terminated the call. :confused3
 
I called back to add the CC to our ADRs just in case, they had to rebook it & cancel the 1st one. I got new confirmation numbers when I added my CC info.
 
I wouldn't give up especially once you are able to book online. Unfortunately you are going to get people who make multiple bookings on different days and times and will decide closer to their vacation which day and time they want to keep. Bad for everyone now, but it will probably open up quite a few dates and times as you get closer to your trip. Just keep checking.:goodvibes

Yep. Shut out. SO frustrating. I guess I'll be in the hour-long lunchtime CS line for a sandwich, just so I can see the inside. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
 
December 8-14th totally booked for dinner . . .

Really annoyed about the misinformation on start time . . .
 
DW and I received busy signals this morn (2 cels) for 3 hrs !!!

Finally was able to get thru, using the 7675 #, and had the "CC Hold nitemare"- (automated system)

Had to call back again to add CC info, and was told that our ressie didnt even exist !!! (Even though I had a conf #!!) Luckily, had a great agent/CM that was able to re-book me (diff conf, and a little later time slot), but still managed to get 11/22 (Thanksgiving) ADR, which now shows on my
DisneyWorld.com ressie page-

Total nitemare--- worse than anything we went thru years back with "CRT" !
