Great PTR so far!

Your family is adorable!

Your pics from DL really make me want to go -- it's just a case of convincing everyone else to try DL instead of WDW. I would especially like to eat a meal at the Blue Bayou!

Well I have to say I love DL! I don't have WDW to compare it to yet...but I'll let you know after we get back! But I think it's going to be a completely different experience. In DL, on Main Street, it's so magical because you can picture Walt walking down it, and you can see his apartment window, etc. And some of the older attractions (ex. Tiki Room) are awesome because they are classic, you know what I mean? So you should try to get there someday if you can! And definitely hit the Blue Bayou! The most fabulous atmosphere for a restaurant ever!

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of my favorite rides EVER so the thought of eating in a restaurant that is overlooking the ride is just heaven!

I don't remember a whole lot from my one visit to Disneyland but I do remember that POTC is so much better at Disneyland than MK. And Fantasyland is better too...but MK has a better castle !

I've heard this a lot on these boards. I can't wait to see the castle in MK! The one at DL seems great to me, but having never seen the one in MK I can't compare. As for POTC I am expecting a bit of a letdown compared to the one in MK, but that's ok. I'm in WDW....and so many other things are going to better and bigger, right?

I've heard this a lot on these boards. I can't wait to see the castle in MK! The one at DL seems great to me, but having never seen the one in MK I can't compare. As for POTC I am expecting a bit of a letdown compared to the one in MK, but that's ok. I'm in WDW....and so many other things are going to better and bigger, right?

You are so right about that! I am very excited to see all of these parks, especially Epcot for some reason . The kids are excited for AK because they love animals and DHS sounds like tons of fun, too!

EPCOT and DHS are very close in my book, vying for second place for my favorite park. Magic Kingdom is obviously number one.

Great PTR and awesome ADR's. I love 50's Prime Time. I ate there all the time when I was a kid and I can not wait to eat there as an adult.

So hoping to get lucky and get in there at some point...but if not, well that's all the more reason to come back, right?

For my family this is a lot of advance planning...they are used to "winging it" and doing whatever they want when they feel like it, so I feel good that I got them to agree to this much!

I totally know what you mean- I even have the CS meals picked out! But they'll just do what I say 'cuz they'll be so caught up in the fun.... but I am doing it all to ensure they get the full benefit of the experience in the parks- both for them and for me- we just missed too much last time wandering around without decisions and I'm not doing that again!

Everything sounds great so far! I'm getting excited to start planning a trip for us after we get back as well! Did you know Google & WDW launched a totally immersive 3-D version of the park online? I'm gonna go check it out right now. You can read about it here.

What parks are you going to?

We're going to hit all 4 WDW parks.

Probably 2 days @ MK
1 day @ AK
1 day @DHS
1 1/2 days at Epcot (maybe an extra 1/2 day on arrival day if time allows!)

I would love to have 2 full days at Epcot....but I'll take what I can get!


Again, I am coming back ASAP!

My customized maps came in the mail...it only took a week! Everyone was really into looking at them, finally they are all getting very excited now!
It's getting so close now, but there is so much going on here, too! DS is turning 9 next week, my mom is retiring and her party is this week, some friends have kids graduating high school, it's the kids last two weeks of school and all kinds of things are going on there....and all I want to do is talk and plan Disney
I am finishing my packing/shopping lists...so this week I will start shopping for everything that DISers have said I need! It's going to be fun just shopping and getting ready this week...I'll let you know how it's all coming together

It's been a while since things have been crazy...but here's a quick update!

4 Days to go until our First Ever Trip to WDW!!!!

I am getting really excited about it now, it feels almost real! The suitcases are out, the packing has begun, finally! Went shopping today for my misty fans, rain ponchos, snacks for plane, etc! Bought my DD a cute princess hat today....she is so excited! She has been carrying her Minnie doll around with her everywhere lately...she keeps saying how she can't wait to give the "real" Minnie a hug!
I can't imagine what it will be like to finally be there. I am going to try and take it all in every second I am there so it doesn't go by so fast, but I know that will happen anyway.

I am going to try and get a last minute ADR or two if possible. Would love Boma, but I'm probably dreaming
Oh well, it's worth a shot! I'll have an awesome time anyway!
We are going to 50's Prime Time, Playhouse Disney Breakfast, LTT character dinner and Coral Reef.
I am really looking forward to all of those!

I just can't wait to be there!
