Taking strollers on resort buses.

We are staying at the CBR in Sept. and will have a double stroller. I know it is too big to take with us on the bus, but does anyone know if they can store them underneath the bus. We will have a car at the resort, so it's not that big of a deal if we can't, but was just wondering since the buses are so convenient. Thanks for any help.

You will just need to collapse the stroller prior to boarding. I've seen plenty of doubles on the buses.:thumbsup2 I've never seen anything stored under a Disney bus other than on the ME bus.

PP is correct, the resort buses do not have any underneath storage. All strollers need to be collapsed to be brought onto the bus.

The monorails do allow for strollers without being collapsed -- it's probably more convenient for others if you do collapse your stroller, but if your monorail compartment isn't full you can leave the stroller open.

PP's are correct. The big thing is that the stroller has to be collapsed. Don't try to bring it through the back door, folded or unfolded, and you will be fine.

Thanks everyone for the info. We will bring it on the bus and hope it doesn't get in the way of other people. If we find it to be an inconvenience we will just drive to the parks. Thanks again for the info!

Coming from a double stroller seasoned professional: Fold the stroller and get on the front and head toward the back of the bus where it gets wider. I usually would sit with my son with the stroller standing up in front of our knees. It shouldnt bother anyone or block any walkways that way

We stayed at BLT recently and saw lots of double-wide strollers on the buses. My tip, though, is to practice folding it up prior to bringing it to the bus stop. I could not believe how many parents were trying to handle kids, diaper bags, ect and did not know how to collapse the strollers. The bus drivers do not allow you on with the kids in the stroller so the poor parents had to deal with the angry-eye stares from the people behind them.

As others have said, you will have to fold the stroller. Please be sure to remove your child before folding it. :rotfl:

To speed the boarding process it will help if you fold it before the bus even gets there. You would be surprised at how many people wait until they are actually next to board the bus before they start unloading and folding their strollers.

It's OK to ask the driver if you can bring it on thru the back door, especially on the older buses (the ones with stairs at the doors), in which the aisle is too narrow to carry it from front to back without hoisting it over the tops of the seats.

Just don't try to load it thru the back door without asking.

You may want to consider what will happen at the end of a long day. One time we were going back from MVMCP, it was late at night. This couple gets on with 2 sleeping girls in arms and a huge double jogger stroller on an already crowded bus. They were really struggling. After they finally got settled, one of the girls headbands starts playing "Jingle Bells". We couldn't help but crack up!
