Here's the quick story.

My DD is married and lives in another state. A little over a year ago she leased at BWM 325i. Not long after that, she learned she was pregnant. She has every intention of keeping the car until the end of her lease but it's a very UNbaby friendly car. Lugging strollers, car seats etc in it is hard and the car is on the smaller size.

I've actually been considering getting a BMW for a while. I've driven DDs car and I love it.

I'm considering either buying her lease outright ( cheaper to buy out a lease than shop on the lot for a "certified" BMW ) or continue to make her lease payments and make sure I love the car.

I'd obviously put insurance on the car and get plates from my state. I just have no idea how or IF I could do this. Anyone have any knowledge?

Thanks.

Thanks! It looks like several BMWs on the site have been leased by BMW directly which gives me hope that DD and I can just fill out a lease transfer. I need to get all the figures in front of me to see if I'd be better leasing first or buying out the car....I'm guessing the lease payments will all roll into the buy out anyway.
