Are you still going on a cruise in Aug? How are things going?

Things are okay... still crazy, but hopefully they might change this week. As of right now, it looks like the cruise is still happening, which is good. I think we'll all REALLY need it after this year.

I adopted 2 new kittens a couple weeks ago. Meet Sisi (on the left) and Ginny (on the right)

For those who don't know, I had to put my beloved 15 yr old Belle kitty to sleep this past fall. It's nice to have kitties around the house again, although these 2 are quite a handful.

Meanwhile, I had a chance to talk to the nieces this week and they're so excited.

Tentative plans for the cruise are to do the dolphin swim in Nassau and parasailing and snorkeling at Castaway Cay.

And 13 months from when I originally wrote this... the day of judgement has finally arrived- or at least the day on which I can book excursions. I am pleased to report that I was able to book both the dolphin swim and parasailing! (snorkeling, I figure we can decide that day)

M recently said she wanted to fly- and when I said she could fly on Soarin', she said she wanted to fly like that for real. So I think she will be quite happy when I tell her we're going parasailing. (I think J will be as well)

In less happy news... my mom is having back surgery on Wed... I'd certainly appreciate any good thoughts from anyone reading this thread.

As for the trip, exciting! We book our excursions in two weeks, and I can't wait. I think my mom wants to do parasailing too.. not sure.

I want to check out the pirate museum in Nassau, but that's all I have planned.

It's crazy thinking we booked these, what, a year ago? And they're almost here! Too bad we're not going on the same time...

Oh they will love Parasailing! I loved doing it! Will you go up with each girl then?
Glad to hear your mom's surgery went well-been following on facebook! I just looked at my ticker and realized you dont have one and neither do you ZerotoHero! How are we suppose to countdown together?!!

Despite the fact that I am bitter that my dates span 2 periods and therefore I could only get a discount for my first 2 nites...

Just wanted to do a banana dance because I was able to call and get a discount applied for my 3rd night with the discounts that recently came out! I have 2 separate continuing reservations but hopefully it won't be a huge hassle and we'll be able to stay in the same room.

I've also been working on FE gifts for the cruise. And on treating myself to lots of cool stuff! (waterproof camera casing, clothes, shoes, etc) It's getting so close now.

In sad news... the little black kitty whose photo I posted is sick and the vet thinks it's FIP which has no cure
