We were thinking of going to Goofy's Kitchen for diinner on the day we'll be at Disneyland. Can we take the monorail from Tomorrowland station to the Downtown Disney station and back again after dinner? I know that Goofy's Kichen is not right there but I thought that it might save us some walking.

Do they stamp your hand before you get off so you can reenter later? How does that work?

That is exactly what we did. We had a brunch reservation at Goofy's Kitchen at 10:30am. We rode the monorail there and back. They stamp your hand when you get off in DTD. Worked perfectly!

Just be aware that the monorail can sometimes take a long time, depending on how many people want to ride it and how many monorails are running. It's usually faster to walk but the monorail is fun.

it was out of order on our very long day (and we didn't think of monorail until AFTER we had walked and walked from park to Goofy's Kitchen)...so we were so happy about riding it back.....*sigh*, two strollers, four tired women, and a very long walk back!!!

FYI,
You will need your Ticket media to go along with the hand stamp to get back in.

They will offer you a hand stamp as you leave the monorail station in DTD. Just get one and have your ticket ready when you are ready to go back in. We actually do that quite regularly, but we go to RFC or Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen instead of Goofy's. :)
