We're going in two months.
When we found out my mother-in-law had cancer, we got her and my father-in-law a room, as well as my sister-in-law and her kids.
This way, she can hopefully have a nice, memorable vacation with her grandkids and daughters because, well, because you never know.
All three rooms are on vacation insurance, and my advice to you is to find out from your mom what special needs she may have (refrigerator, etc.), get the form from
DCL that needs to be signed by a doctor, and send it in ASAP.
I'd also make sure the kids understand that , at any moment, the cruise may have to be cancelled.
I truly hope you are able to go and have a blessed and wonderful time!
