ok so this sounds funny, but since I do not travel much I do not know the answer to this or ever thought about it before.... if the hotel doesn't provide a Microwave in the room, can I bring my own to the room? Wouldn't it be the same as plugging in a cell phone charger or laptop or toaster (which seems to be on a lot of DL packing lists)?

I suppose you could... but if you're flying why would you want to waste precious baggage allowance ammounts on a microwave, they aren't exactly small. I guess it depends on whether or not "nuking" your food in your room is super important to you if it is I would choose a hotel with a microwave, I wouldn't lug it to the hotel.

So I guess you probably could.

I would recommend asking the hotel if it would be okay. Since microwaves use more electricity than normal appliances, it would be nice to find out if it would work all right. :)

From your other post, I know you're staying at HoJo. And I remember Lorealle (works at HoJo, posts here) answered a question awhile back about doing such a thing, and it wasn't recommended b/c it does take much more energy than other things.

BUT are you sure your room doesn't have one?

To be honest, I've done it before at the HoJo. We drive so space wasn't really an issue, and we did it before they had microwaves in their NQQ2 rooms.
