Hi,

WE are going to Disney World with an infant for the first time. Doesn anyone know what rides we can hold them on verses what rides we will have to take turns on. Or does anyone know where I can go to find this information? Thanks!!!!!!

Hi there- My DH and I went to Disney 4 years ago with our then 3 month old..and we are
heading back this year with our new baby who will be 6 months by the time we go in Dec.
We were able to take her on a variety on different rides-here are some suggestions!

MK- It's A Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion (she still likes it),
Carousel of Progress, Pooh Bear Adventure, Train in Mickey's Toontown, you could sit down on a sleigh on the Carousel in Fantasyland

Epcot- Pretty much anything other than the Test Track, and the Troll ride (can't remember
the name) in Norway

AK-This wasn't open when we went when she was an infant, but we went last year and there really isn't alot for young babies. The Kilimanjaro Safari might be ok, but there is a part toward the end where they speed up and you go over alot of bumps the whole ride...I would try checking with a cast member on that.

MGM- The Great Movie Ride, Backlot Tour (has some fire and water but not too too bad)

That's pretty much it-I may have forgotten a few things-but this is a basic list of all the rides-attractions we went on 4 years ago and will do again in December. Good Luck and Have a Great Time!!!!!!!

We took our 3 mo. old DD to WDW for a week from July 20-27th. We were pretty much able to take her on any ride that does not have a height restriction. On some rides they had us sit her in our lap instead of simply holding her. We took her on the safari and she fell asleep on it. Be sure to ask for the front row, it is less bumpy.

We took our 6 month old a few years ago and brought her on just about everything that didn't have a height restriction. The dark rides (Spaceship Earth, etc) were great for breastfeeding! Beware of Honey I Shrunk the Audience. It is soooooo loud that we didn't want to sit in there with an infant.

Going with an infant is easier than you think. They can go on anything without a height restriction and you can do babyswap for any rides that have a restriction. Last year our DS was 6 months old and it worked great. DH carried him in the snugli most of the time and he came out to me during shows and long rides for nursing and cuddling. He was too young to be freaked out by the characters and we have a great picture of Pluto eating his head!! Have fun!!
