I am not clear as to whether it is OK to take a sack lunch with you off the ship in Nassau. It seems I have read some threads that say it is OK, others that say it is a definite no-no. Last year when getting off the ship in Cozumel, we had a sack lunch with us, but at the doorway there was a sign that said "absolutely no food beyond this point, dispose of before leaving ship". We promptly tossed everything out, not wanting to get into any trouble. Has anyone actually taken food off the ship while at Nasssau and is it "legal"? We have four little girls and really only planned to take sandwiches and cookies to tide them over on the beach.

Any help appreciated.

Last Dec, we took sandwiches (from room service), chips and cookies with us to cable beach....no signs on the ship... no trouble

We had 2 of those soft foldable coolers, that we took with us on excursions. (4 Adults) We would carry bottled water and ice with us. We also would take some fresh fruit from the breakfast buffet and carry it off with us in the coolers.
Did not see any signs, and turned out to be a good snack while on the beach, etc.
