Do you take snacks and cartoon drinks on holiday with you?

I have bought

* Fruit Shoots
* Cartoon Drinks
* Small bottle of water

Snacks:

* Mini Twix
* Chocolate stars for DD
* Crisps

Thought it will be handy to put in my daughters rack sack for around the park, if we fancy a bit of chocolate and a drink.

What do you usually take with you in your suitcase??

just to let u know near the train station there is a shop which sells drinks, magazines, sweets and even prepacked bread. the prices are much cheaper than in the actual parks. we found this very useful on our last trip.

A bottle of orange squash for in the evenings. Robert doesn't really like water, so the squash saves us a fortune in buying drinks for him.

hahahaha! :rotfl: Men are as bad as the kids arnt they :rotfl2:

Healthy snacks like school bars, dried apricots, raisins, apples.
Not quite so healthy ones like fruit flakes and cereal bars. Since my children will eat them whole I even take a couple of carrots!

i brought so much our last trip and we ended up leaving a lot of it behind. it was only my dd ate any of it *** the rest of us filled up at restaraunts but we are not big eaters anyway. drinks were the most important to me *** they didnt have much my dd would have drank.

The first time we went, we packed lots of DD's fav snacks. Then we heard about the shop at the train station and never bothered to pack that much on our next trip. We did still bring mini Jammie Dodgers & Kit Kat though but otherwise, we bought crisps & water & soft drinks from that shop. We bought a couple of 1.5/2 litre bottles on our 1st day and then filled them up at breakfast time each morning (there was a water fountain/dispenser type thing at Sequoia Lodge) and there are also water fountains around the parks and we re-filled them then:thumbsup2 .

Forgot to add we just refill our water bottles at the water fountains. I've found even if the children don't usually like drinking water, the lure of the water fountains is just too much to resist!

Well... what i will be taking is.. dairy free snacks for ben, cartons baby milk for milo. healthy snacks for them both.. marmite.... haha...

and going to take a drinking cup for baby and flask for ben.. so can fill them up at brekki with some juice and water mixed....

Hiya, i came across ur thread and im sooooo pleased that things got sorted regarding your tickets , bet u are soooo happy :goodvibes

yes! I am thank you. I was honestly a total wreck yesturday, went off to parents meeting for ben (4) and forgot all the questions i wanted to ask etc! horrid woman! but yes, just back to being excited and planning today!

Ds2 is autistic and doesn't eat anything but a handful of different foods, so we take his entire meals for a week, usually 5 loaves of bread, petite filous, butter, magic stars and orange squash. this usually takes up a whole suitcase. At the end of the week we throw away anything he hasn't eaten, and use the case to put anything we have bought over there in it. :)

You don't want to know what i plan on taking in the park (too much;) )

My mum has brought me about 20 fruit shoots for DD:lmao:

Take will save some serious spends compared to buying in the park :)

Bearing in mind how much pop Robert can drink, we probably saved about 20Euro on our last trip... Enough to get two takeaway meals from Annettes!

I take a bottle of squash too, you just can't get it there can you, it's either fruit juice or it's fizzy :confused3

I just take fruit snacks as it's so hard to get fruit into them whilst you're there. So this trip we took mini boxes of raisins, dried fruit sticks, Ella's fruit puree punch thingies - they are BRILLIANT and I really recommend them. The baby can feed them to himself and 5yo DD thinks they are like smoothies!
