Hi,
Just wondering with certain rides like RR or any of the other coasters or larger attractions can you wear a baggalini or messenger style bag while riding? I went to Canobie Lake ( a theme park in N.H.) and for a certain ride they told me I had to remove and part with my bag which had my money and credit cards inside and leave it in an unattended bin. I was just wondering if Disney will make me remove my bag for any of the larger attractions:confused:
TIA!

I've been on just about every ride in WDW (but haven't been able to visit in about 3 years), and we always had a big backpack filled with books, sweatshirts, wallets, etc. And we were able to somehow fit it into every ride we went on. :lmao:

Editted to add: You will have to remove it from your person on some rides, but I've always seen some sort of mesh bag right in front of your seat to shove the bags into. :)

At WDW, I can't think of any rides where they made me leave my bag behind, thank goodness. Some of them even have mesh bags you can stuff your bag in, I believe. I ride them all and just hang on tight to my bag :) We even did this with Halloween candy last year.

Thanks feeling alot better about investing in my baggalini;) Glad to hear I won't have to leave my personal belongings in some random bin:thumbsup2

We use a backpack and I have been known to put it on the floor of the vehicle then put my feet through the straps and pull the straps up onto my thighs. Don't have to hold it, but it also can't escape!

Something similar is my method of choice for rides like Rockin Roller Coaster

that's exactly what I do. I always have my camelback anywhere I go and I've never been on any ride without it. It even accompanies me on the most extreme rides. I think as long as your bag has a zipper or snaps or something that gives it the ability to close, you'll be fine.

The only ride that I have not been able to take my daypack on is Soarin. The mesh storage area under my seat was too small for my backpack. The cast member asked me to leave my pack on the floor in front of me. She then moved it off to the side of the room and I picked it up on the way out.

I always carry my purse and have never had to part with it at WDW.

In DisneyQuest (at least when I went there in 2000 or 2001) when you do the roller coaster simulator, you can't take belongings with you, but they give you a locker to put stuff in and you take the key with you into the simulator, so your belongings are secure.

Outside of Disney, Busch Gardens in Tampa has lockers (which you pay for) at the front of the line to the roller coasters. They're big enough to put a group of ppl's bags in. I don't recall if Universal and other parks also have these.

I've never really had to part with my bag on any Disney rides.

At Universal there were some rides where I had to leave my bag in a locker. But I seem to remember them being free for the wait time of the ride and it used your finger print as you locker "key". I usually spent more time trying to get the fingerprint reader to take my print than I did waiting in line and riding the ride.

Space Mountain may be a little tight...but I think small bags would be fine...

Same here.

A lot of the rides at Disney have different load/unload zones so no way to have you store the bag off the ride. As PP's have said, the only one I have ever had problems stuffing my backpack/camera bag under the seat is Soarin.

Ah yes....the roller coaster at Canobie, right??? That drove me nuts a year or so ago. It's pretty siimilar to RnRC so I just couldn't figure out why I had to leave my bag behind, but no...had to leave it!!
If your bag is small enough, and it sounds like yours is, you should be able to just keep it on you, or stuff it in the mesh pouches they have on a lot of the rides.

I wouldn't take a bag on Kali River Rapids just because it will get soaked, but you can.

At Kali River Rapids we just put it into the center console which is covered. It just gets a little dribbly wet in there. We also don't have a fully packed, fat to the brim backpack. It just has stuff in it.

You can take a bag on all ride as long as it fufills these two rules:
1)it and its contence can be safely secured (ie will fit in to the mesh pocket or will not fall out in the course of the ride)

2) it fits on the ride in the first place.

If it does not you will need to leave it with a nonrider or in the case of soarin' on the floor (trust me it is VERY secure on that floor)

I have a messenger bag type purse and I sit on it for RnR and ToT. Maybe not the most comfy but once the ride gets going, you don't notice!
