Taking bags on the rides?

I am lead to believe you have to take your bags on ALL the rides, this includes the ones that go upside down?! Probably a dumb question, but how do you do this if you have a backpack or something? On something like RNR? I'm used to Alton towers, where any loose items including shoes must be removed before riding

you put your backpack on the floor by your feet, and loop one of the straps around your ankle .

I usually have a shoulder bag with a long strap so the bag goes diagonally across my body. Then it's just tucked in close either to my side or on my lap during rides, depending on the restraints. Now the large amounts of shopping bags, popcorn buckets and giant slushy souvenier cups are another story! They get left on Dd's wheelchair to be minded by whoever isn't riding, that's why we always bring extra "guests"

I was only last night wondering about getting a backpack for our next trip but I'm afraid of it being vulnerable to any opportunists while it's on my back, . Not a pleasant thought I know but still .......

Thanks, bit worried about losing my bag! Haha. I'm not sure what kind to take, a backpack would be more covinent and probably more comfy, but like you say open to thieves.

I'd sad enough that I still have and use a bum bag which I purchased in the 1980s. It's been with us on every trip to DLP and find it great to put those park programes in, wallet, phone and list of our resturant reservations into. DW takes a shoulder bag with her to the parks and a hand bag in the evenings.

I don't take a backpack - I take an across-body bag with a long strap. If you do decide on a backpack, you could put in on your front rather than your back when you're walking around?

I take a back pack and use a piece of ribbon to tie the two main zips together, then in the front I just keep things that aren't valuable like snacks

I actually love how the Disney parks are fine with bringing bags onto rides - it means I don't have to worry about finding a locker, and if I'm on my own I can happily read or play a game on my phone while in the queue!

I usually use a cross-body bag which I loop around my arm/ankle when on rides, not had a problem with upside down rides so far (tried and tested on Space Mountain, Indiana Jones and Rock n Roller coaster)!

(I think as long as you loop the bag around an arm or something it will be fine - I've even brought an open bag full of candy on Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain in Disneyland CA and not had a problem...)

The force of the ride keeps your bag safely in place but I always keep a strap around my foot just in case- you can never be too careful!

Although on RC racer they have very small boxes for bags and tiny items but also big racks for stuff that just won't fit (aka everything!). I never use the boxes on the ride, I almost always forget that I ever put anything in it and on numerous occasions we've had to nip back and ask if it's there.. oops..

I bring backpack for drinks/snacks ect. And cross body for camera/phone/purse. I just leave the backpack in dd stroller if ee all go on the same ride. The crossbody stays with me all the time!!
