Looking to take the 4 night sailing from Miami on the Disney Dream over the July 4th weekend to celebrate a promotion for me ( coincidentally my boyfriend's birthday is on July 6th so this will double as a celebration). This will be his first time cruising my 4th on DCL. to a huge fan of Nassau but figured we could go to Atlantis since he has never been.

Would love for everyone to give me any suggestions/pointers to make this a great vacation.
I just went on a NYE cruise on the Magic and took my mother for her first cruise and she loved it.

Some of the things we enjoyed were Adult Dining (Palo), Spa, more Spa, Castaway Cay.

Looking forward to hearing all of your reccs.

:)

We enjoy relaxing at Satellite Falls during the day, and usually cap off the afternoon with a cocktail or 2 at the Cove Bar. Also, the adult entertainment in Evolution after dinner is always good for some laughs.

We sailed last month and brought my DS's girlfriend, (23 yo) on her first cruise. After it I asked if she went again what would she do/not do next time. She said she would stay on the ship in Nassau (they got off for a couple hours),and she would definitely do Palo brunch again.

Go to the spa. :teeth:
I'm now addicted to hot stone massages after having one at the spa on the ship.
My rec, and maybe you already know this, don't bother with the pedicure at the salon.
Try one of the tastings classes. I thought they were fun and you get, like, 5 mini drinks for $25, which really isn't bad.

Def take advantage of the adult only areas - relaxing by the pool with little to no noise is lovely! I haven't done any spa treatments on board - but heard great things about them. Loved deck 4 when we sailed out - not too many people there and it was great views. Sadly no Sail Away party (at least when we last sailed end of March 2022). Always loved a quiet time in the bar areas and coffee from Cove. Of course you've got your adult dining covered. :) We did a port excursion last year on our PC to Bahama cruise, Pearl Island. Yummy food and lovely beach area. You can snorkel too and the fish are beautiful! Atlantis would be fun too - quite a bit more than Pearl Island (you get lunch included on this excursion). Also - we find that when there are days when people get off the ship - you can find great spots by the pool and enjoy the quiet on board if you like. Make sure to let your head waiter know about your celebrations so they can honor both! Congrats and HBD to your bf!
