It has been a while since I have been to Disney World and the kids are asking to go. Unfortunately DH took a new job and just wont be able to get away for a week. From a ride stand point will I be ok with the 5 and 6 year old??
Thanks.
Kim

I took my kids when they were 4 and 6. DH couldn't go. We had a blast! It was just what we wanted, didn't have to worry about what DH wanted. We took a full size single stroller - one evening the kids went tandem and shared it - it was fun. I walked a lot. We had gotten a great price on an AP rate at the AKL (129/nt) so I couldn't resist. Did no sit down meals - just had fun. I felt so safe (of course you can't be stupid, but it was great).

I think if you're staying on Disney property you'll have such a great time. In my humble opinion, you may have a better time! Since then, every other trip excludes DH and we have fun!!!

We didn't rent a car - took a transportation company. Did the grocery stop. Planned a lot. Just had fun.

Last Aug, took Ds (then 9) and DD (7) with friend, and her 4 boys, (9, 7, and twin5's). Such fun. If you're a SAHM anyway, it's much better than being at home.

Sorry - just read rides. Most fit mom and 2 small kids. No problem for us - I steered while they shot for Buzz Lightyear. If something was disagreeable, we just skipped it. It worked out very well!

Yeah, I am a SAHM and DH is not into Disney that much and I am REALLY looking forward to spending time with them there. I was just concerned when getting on rides, will the majority accomodate the three of us? I just do not want them seperated. I hope I am explaining this right.
We are definately staying at a Disney resort!!
Thanks
Kim

Please don't worry then!

You will fit. We did. We did Winnie the Pooh, Buzz, and I don't remember what else (no roller coasters). It was great, and we'd just grab whatever food we fancied (didn't worry about DH). It was fun. Plus, at AKL the pool was zero entry, so I could relax right there with a beer and watch the kids in a few inches of water. It was great.

Have fun!

My DH has a business trip and our DS 5 and DS 2 and I are tagging along. We will be on our own for about 3-4days. I've done it alone with my older son before but never with the two of them. I am looking forward to it. I think it will be tough at times but fun also.

I would definitely do it with your kids, especially since they are older. Have fun!

Definitely don't worry--most rides will fit an adult and two kids easily! Have a great trip!
