TAKE ME BACK!!!**Coronado Springs**10/28/14-11/04/14 *FREE DINING*

Sounds like a good plan! If you're interested - hit my TR (in my sig) for a review of a week at Coronado with the Deluxe Dining. Be prepared to drool... Message me if you want to chat about the resort or any of the food. :D

Megan, I was scrolling through the PTR's and Coronado caught my name so I am joining in. We have stayed at the Coronado 10 times and love everything about it.

I will come back to read your intros and plans thus far. And then I will try to keep up. I'm finishing off a PTR for my trip in 23 days and trying to finish my TR from my "girls" trip in June.

***I'm back. Your intros had me misty-eyed. So nice to see young love and a family with wonderful kids...who happen to be adorable as well.

As I said, we've stayed at Coronado (CSR) ten times and love everything about it. The Dig Site pool is awesome, as is the playground right next to it for the kids.

Your plans sound great. I have to be honest and say we aren't fans of Ohana, but I know there are the diehards who love it. Perhaps if I had had a Lapu Lapu I might have felt differently. ;)

Looking forward to reading more.

OK, picking up where we left off...

Saturday November 1st

Today is Animal Kingdom day. We will most likely wake up early and resume our normal routine of a snack credit breakfast.

My favorite place for lunch is Tamu Tamu Refreshments. On our last trip we ended up taking a little break at the one of the tables inside the Dawa Bar while Noah napped. We spotted Tamu across the way and figured we'd kill two birds with one stone by grabbing lunch at that time. I walked over with my daughter and got my hubby and I each a pulled beef pita with the cheesecake in a glass as our dessert. This ended up being one of our favorite and most memorable meals of the whole trip. I can't even describe how good it was. Pair that with an African Margarita and I am one happy happy gal. (The African Margarita features this insanely delicious tangerine liqueur that is virtually impossible to find.) I was having a slight heart attack when I saw the Disney Food Blog report that they removed the pita from the lunch menu  but it is back now, thank goodness. :dance3: I am strongly looking forward to this lunch!

For dinner, I have an ADR at 6:45 for the San Angel Inn at Epcot. This is a restaurant that we have never eaten at but are very much looking forward to trying. The atmosphere seems so cool and fun, and the margarita menu looks sublime (Hubby and I are margarita enthusiasts if you can't tell :rolleyes1). I like the fact that they have a 3 course meal option so I most likely will be ordering that for my entree.

Sunday November 2nd

This is going to be another Magic Kingdom park day for us, so breakfast will be the same usual routine of either snack at resort or park. I forgot to mention previously that I am beyond stoked about the addition of Starbucks to the parks. I know there are many people out there who protested this decision, but I was pro-Starbucks all the way. The closest locations to where I live are about 40 minutes away, therefore it is a luxury that I don't indulge in that often. Annnndddd, can we just take a minute to ponder the amazing-ness of sipping on the perfection that is the Pumpkin Spice latte, a midst the glorious Fall Magic that will be everywhere at this time of year. (Fall is my #1 favorite season, so this all just makes it that much more exciting.) pixiedust:

We will be having dinner at 6:30 in Epcot at Akershus in Norway! Bring on the brown goat cheese!!!! Seriously, that cold buffet is just insane. I LOVE so much about this restaurant. You get a complimentary photo package with Belle, time with the "girls" (the Princesses that is princess:), and insanely good food. We had lunch here on the last trip so this will be our first time trying it out for dinner. This is one of the restaurants that I keep looking at the menu online, and I honestly have no clue what I will end up choosing. Seriously- short ribs, salmon, rack of lamb??? Gahhh. I am also intrigued by the traditional Kjøttkake, which really just sounds like glorified meatballs, but they are paired with a Lingonberry sauce! I absolutely adore the pairing of sweet/savory. So stay tuned for what I end up eating here...I kind of want to order everything!

Monday November 3rd

Gahhhh its our last full day!!! Nooooo!

On this morning, we are headed to Hollywood Studios for a 2nd time so that I can ride Tower of Terror until my head falls off. No seriously, it is my FAVORITE ride and I NEED to get my fill!!! :upsidedow:scared1: Soooo basically, I am thinking that since this is our last day of vacay, that I will go to Starring Rolls that morning and get the biggest, most fattening cupcake and have that for breakfast. I mean, YOLO, right? :p

Lunch is up in the air, we may eat in the park or we may just return to the resort by then. So lunch is to be determined.

Our last ADR will be at 6:05 at Coral Reef. This will be another first for us, and I honestly debated for a while about booking here b/c there are a million and a half bad reviews online. I am one of those people that need to decide something for myself and I really think the kids will like the prospect of dining with the fishies, so I went for it. I have had my eye on the Mahi-Mahi with Shrimp and Coconut Sauce so I will most likely order that. I am hoping that we can score a tank side table and I don't mind waiting a short bit for one, if that is what it takes. I am optimistic about this meal, hopefully it delivers! :teeth:

That wraps up my foodie plans for our trip! I would like to do an upcoming post to share with you all, my Disney Food Bucket List.

Yes, I have one. ::yes::

But for now, I will leave you with this guy, :dancer: because he's awesome.

:dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:

Hmmm....I never knew of Tamu and will have to check it out.

I'm with you...delighted that Starbucks is now in the parks (did you see they are adding one to the Studios in 2015...currently working on it)?

We LOVE Coral Reef. We've gone four times in the last four trips (either my girls trips or my hubby/me trips). You can even get adult portions on the kids menu I found out (I wanted the fried shrimp and was able to get it). I love watching the kids getting excited over the fish and the divers in the tank.

Yummy! Planning meals at Disney is fun!!

I know, right? And I take the planning part very seriously lol!!! ;)

I read through all of your TR, current PTR, and your Mother's TR as well! I need more!!! You are so well written and your pics are fantastic!!! I look forward to sharing the planning process excitement with you! When will you be there in October?

Thank you so much and Welcome!!! :welcome: Its so nice to hear that you have stayed there so many times and enjoyed it! It actually makes me even more excited to go!! My kids are going to flip when they see the pool/playground!

The lapu-lapu is life changing. All that rum and pineapple-y goodness...mmmm.

A girls trip sounds so exciting!!! I look forward to checking out your plans on here. And 23 days?!? Eeeeek!:eek::eek:

Tamu Tamu is perfect, there is a cool little seating area right by there but we prefer to sit across the way...right by the BAR :rotfl2: .

Just the smell of Starbucks makes me giddy. :coffee: I think they are aiming to have one at each location within the park. They've got MK, Epcot, and Downtown Disney done so I can easily see the other two parks receiving them as well.

I am so happy to hear you love Coral Reef. Its so refreshing to hear positive feedback for a change!

I had an iced pumpkin spice latte the other day because it was just too flipping hot out. It was yummy, although I think I prefer it hot. Iced chai, on the other hand, is beyond delicious!!

We ate at Norway's princess dinner (even though my kids are older - it was mostly for me...) and it was great!

The kids both got the meatballs and they were GREAT. My husband and I both got the salmon (we'd asked our waitress what she liked the best and she recommended it) and it was really, really great. :)

The quick service spot at Coronado has shockingly delicious tacos (and I'm from Texas so I'm picky).

We love Coral Reef also. If your reservation is close to when they open you have a good chance of a tankside table!

I am dying for a PSL! I have not had one yet, I am going to swing by Dunkin Donuts in hopes of finding a pumpking latte. Its not even close to Starbucks but it'll do for now.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes and button pic! If I can't have a real button, then the next best thing is that picture.

I am so excited for the food at Coronado...I am a taco fiend. I am beyond happy to be staying at a resort with so many tex-mex food options!!!
