I have been thinking about this all day, there are two of us and we do not eat a lot at WDW, but we do have a table service meal every eveing, so the snack and CS voucher wil not be used, we also like to eat outside of WDW. WE are going for 11 nights, part to a vlaue and part to a delux, to split the stay.

Anyway, for those is a similar position, we have worked out it is a better deal for the value resorts when it is compared with taking the usual AP discount offered in Sept and combining it with DDE.

However, when you start looking at mods it is more even and when you look at deluxes then if they do an AP discount we wil be better oiff wuth that.

But, do you think the demand this will create will mean that they don't need to offer such as good AP discount.

WE have decided to book the value sectoin of it using a 1 day tickjet that we can save, and the secon part at the delux wil give us more freedom, as even wihout the dining plan we will have the DDE.

What do you think, doe shtis sound logical and good sense?

I am in the same boat. I still think there will be AP dicounts. I thought about changing my dates, but I really want the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP, so I don't want to go in Sept. Hopefully, we will get lucky in October!

We will be 2A, 1C, staying at AS Movies. I figured the AP discount to be about 20/night (give or take a few $) including taxes. Long story short, it looks like we'd be paying about 375 to have the dining plan (with 1 day base tickets, since we have APs) for 10 nights. We already have DDE, but I don't think there's any way the DDE could save us enough to match the 37.50 per day (not each, total for the three of us) we'll have with the pkg. And, I'm not even taking into account the fact that we'll still have 3 unactivated 1 day tickets after the trip. That's gotta be worth something, right! We'll use the DDE to pay for any additional CS we buy at the resort (like breakfast). BTW, we'd be staying at an AS anyway, so we're not giving anything up.
If you want to stay at a deluxe, I would check the past AP discounts and compare your savings.

We like to do a split stay and however I run the figures, if the discounts are simia;r to other years the AP will be better for a Delux.
