Get some sleep. . .I can't function on less than 5 hours of sleep.

I can't either.

Interesting is a good word for it. . .Actually it was pretty good. DH's sister and brother-in-law were here. It was the last time we'll see them before they move to Germany for three years. I think our family trip next fall (2010) will probably be to Germany so we can see them.

I'm debating if it's too early to start my PTR for Christmas/New Year's. I plan every day, so it'll be sort of a journal. What do you all think?

Germany would be exciting. That's awsome.

Since I have never done a PTR or TR, I am not the one to ask. It seems early to me but if you have plenty to write about and enjoy it, go for it? Staying at POR again? Edited: I just read your trip info and see you are staying at Riverside again.

Yep, POR again. I've already started thinking about spending the days at POR. I hope to get there at 7am like we did last time so we can get our building 15 room again. I think being that close to the bus stop spoiled us! I wanted to do CR, but DD announced for her 13th b-day she wanted to spend a 4-day weekend at the Grand Floridian. So, that'll be our next WDW trip after this. I have to look into getting passports and as the are good for 10 years, I might as well go ahead and file. From time to time, we drive to see dh's uncle in Upstate NY, and I'm told we now need a passport to go into Canada, which is only a 30 min drive from his house.

ETA: I won't start the PTR until the TR is finished. And at the rate the TR is going, I won't ever start a PTR! (Actually, I have 3 installments left to do on the TR, but it's been 4 months!!)

Will the 13th b-day trip be just you and her or the whole family? Better start saving all your change if you plan on staying at the GF. :rotfl2:

Good Morning sadiedog and Smiley :wave2: how was your weekend? mine was BUSY!!:goodvibes

Mine was very laid back and easy going. But today is busy. Its back to house work. I find myself daydreaming about Spring and flowers and how I want to decorate my porches this year.

Yes. . .I think ds will probably do something with his dad that year, but dh and I have been talking about a girls-only soemthing or another for a long time.

Sounds fun. Then your husband and son can do something special together.

My weekend was not very interesting. I don't do fun stuff often like Mean Queen. :lmao: I did get to visit my cousin. It was great to FINALLY get out. We had a snow storm yesterday so I sat around the house most of the day. Later I will go out and play in the snow with my dogs.

:thanks: Thank you everyone who has been so welcoming to me! It feels like a little family here! :grouphug:

Nothing too interesting here either. Picking out scenes for my next fandub. I like to fandub Disney scenes on Youtube in my spare time. Maybe one day, I'll share some!

This may sound surprising, but I don't have any trips planned. We just got back from camping at Ft. Wilderness. It was a quick trip, and the putting up and tearing down of the tents made it feel shorter. But it was so action packed, it evened it out. We did the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. I love the show. So cheesy, so funny, especially after a few of the all you can drink sangria. :faint:

Our camp site was good and bad. Good because it was directly next to the comfort station (rest rooms/showers/laundry) and bus stop. And bad because it was directly next to the comfort station and bus stop. While it was nice not having to walk to go to the bathroom, you could hear other people heading to the rest room all night. What was worse was the big road right by us. The buses weren't the worst. It was the drunk idiots in a golf cart driving by at 4 in the morning the first night. They'd drive, skid the brakes, then honk the horn. All up and down the road. If it wasn't so cold, I would have run out there and beat them upside the head with my shoe.

We got lucky and saw Chip and Dale at the campfire, made some smores, then took off before the movie started. Instead, we headed to the beach to watch Wishes. When it was over, my DD2 said "I want to see it again!" :rotfl2:

I think next time we either get a pop-up or we stay at a hotel then hang out at the Fort all day. I just sleep horrible in a tent. I am a lady of luxury. :snooty: :lmao:

Hi Mean Queen. :wave2: Your camping trip does sound like it was alot of fun. Well, maybe except for the drunks. But your description of that made me giggle. I know ya'll must really enjoy living close enought to Disney to experience so many different things about the place. Ya'll get to do things that most of us will never get to because of travel time. That's why I love hearing about your adeventures. Thanks for sharing them with us!! :flower3:

DH and I know how lucky we are. We keep trying to explain to the kids that WDW is a once in a lifetime trip for most people, not a once a month thing. We just love to travel and try to do things with the kids as a family.

Your welcome

This may be a really stupid question, but what is this fandub you speak of? I have no idea what you are talking about? :rotfl2: Sorry if I am really lame.:rotfl:

I love camping, but am a very light sleeper so it can be torture. After a few days of almost no sleep, I want to kill someone. Seems like I often have drunk people keeping me awake too. Mainly 1 of my brothers. :rotfl2: I do sleep better in a pop-up. I know some people like the convenience of being next to something so they don't have to walk far. Not me. I want the quieter spot even if I have to walk a long way. Considering you have electricity at The Fort, I would bring one of those small 8 inch fans to help with white noise. I am used to sleeping with an air cleaner. In fact, when we went to FL in Oct, I packed it in my suitcase and kept it going beside my bed at night. WOW, you can sit on the beach and watch wishes. That's great.

I am also a horribly light sleeper. I always have a fan running for white noise. But even my super powered fan wasn't strong enough to drown out the noise. I'm just a paranoid sleeper. If the wind blew the rain flap, I thought someone was trying to get in my tent. Since DH wakes up for nothing, I feel the need to be extra wary. DH and I said we both feel like we have a hangover from the lack of sleep. It rained last night and we weren't prepared for it. Our tent was fine, but the one with DD9 and her friends wasn't covered well. So he got up at 2 a.m. to fix that. Plus, it must have been a late night at the MK since lots of people came home on a bus at 2.
