For the love of Pete......I got an email from the ex. He and I both got her MP3/Ipods for Christmas. He got our DD and his younger DD both the same MP3 players so there would be no fighting. He took the Ipod that I got our DD and then gave her the one he got her. I have no clue what he was going to do with the one I had given to him.

He was trying not to hurt anyone's feelings. Hellooooo he shoulda thought of that 13 years ago when he did what he did!!!(insert hairpulling smilie here)

So I made a deal with DD and sent an email stating the deal to the ex. She keeps the one that her dad got her at his house and she keeps the one that I got her here. That sounded like a good deal/solution to me. I told DD not to breathe a word of having two to her half sister. I told her that it would make the half sister mad.

I can understand why he did the 2 MP3 thing, but he should have given you back the iPod or worked out a deal about it before hand. It sounds like he doesn't deal well with conflict. I'm glad you worked out a good solution. I bet your DD loves having 2 MP3/iPod's!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We take off Sunday for Hilton Head. Hopefully, the wireless is working in the rooms at the resort. If not, I'll still check in from the lobby or pool area.

What did everyone get for Christmas? DH got me a new stereo/GPS/bluetooth system for my car. He got a floor model for a great price (he wrapped it with the sticker ) I also got lots of Starbucks. Hmm, wonder why? My dad got me tickets to a show called "The Awesome 80's Prom." It's an interactive show where you are going to a prom full of characters from the 80's (football captain, Asian exchange student). The audience members mingle with the actors to vote on Prom King and Queen. It looks like a lot of fun!

I got the Tiffany lock pendant necklace I wanted, three CD's, some DVD's (one of which is a live version of The Police reunion concert we saw last year), and two gift certificates. That's everything I got from hubby. Today we have Christmas with his family so I will get/give a few more things.

Looks like things have been slow around here. . . of course, I wouldn't know as I haven't been around myself. Hope you all had a great Christmas! I've been busy on my Facebook page (as LegoMom can surely attest) and playing Guitar Hero on the Wii. I've also been getting my rear in gear, as I have gained back 20 of the 50 pounds I lost. So it's meant a lot of counting points, etc.

PaMom--that really stinks about your ex. I hope you managed to have a great Christmas for your daughter, anywho.

DO--sounds like a great Christmas!

MeanQueen--I'm jealous. But I'm not surprised at the traffic. I-95 was horrendous yesterday in Lumberton.

creativeamanda, the Buicks are doing just fine, but bleeding me dry. Teenagers and Buicks will do that. I need to take them for new collars as they have outgrown theirs. I think they have got a little bigger.

I have been meaning to start a facebook. I should ask my daughter to help me, but she is sick and off to the Dr at 2:15. I'm hoping she just has a virus and not strep throat. Fever, terrible sore throat, 1 large swollen gland, body aches and just plain miserable.

Wii would be fun. Good luck with the weight loss. I'm still trying to gain a few pounds. My face could use a little weight.

(Can you believe Christmas is over already. ) Now its time to start taking decorations down. I wish we could slow things down just a little. I hope you have been enjoying your vacation.

Awww. . .mopping the floor is fun! The kids and husband have been in and out of the house all day and it rained last night. So the floor definitely needs it.

I'm "just ok" and our weather is so-so. The ice is gone (thank God...) and we had a lot of snow melt with a few "warm" days, but it's getting really cold again this week and once again the snow forecast is messing with my vacation-week plans.

Actually, if I set up a reward for myself, I might actually get somewhere. For example, I'd love to plop down at the dining room table and scrapbook all day. But!...I need to put away some stuff and clean XX before I do so.
