Friday is over!!!! And dh is at the store buying some (ahem) refreshments. All in all a good week. I used the fall code on my Disney trip and saved $300. And saving money is always a good thing.

Smileybug, thanks for the Friday well wishes. They put a smile on my face this afternoon. Our director of sped left early this afternoon and apparently left word for everyone with a problem to call me. Do you know many people with problems call at the last minute on Friday afternoon? To be fair, though, I actually enjoyed it. I even deflated one very irate parent over a harmless misunderstanding.

Long story short--it was a good day and awesome week! DH got a promotion, I saved money on the vacation, work was great, I got a couple of new students I absolutely loved, and I pay off the vaca tomorrow morning!!!! Oh, and 62 days!!!

WooHoo!!! Your day sounds like an exciting one. I really liked the part about you deflating an irrate parent!!

Ice, ibuprofen and take it easy. She has her 1st scrimmage Monday so I hope it's better.

At the beginning of the week, we were on the dry side of the storm. Clouds, but no rain. Now that it boomeranged back at us, it's raining off and on as the bands come by. Not bad, unless you plan to be outside.

DD's new school had a scavenger hunt for school supplies with local businesses. We walked 20 blocks back and forth through some not so great areas of town. The businesses were really nice and a bit overwhelmed. They were told about 20 students, when it ended up being about 75 doing the hunt. (Not really a hunt, more like trick or treating at certain spots.) The weather held out for all that luckily. We then had an Open House, but through miscommunication, 2 of her 3 teachers weren't there. So after checking out the classes, talking to her one teacher (who was almost as clueless as us parents about many things), we left. That's when the rain came down. We got soaked walking to our car. Now, I just want to get in a hot bath and relax.

I can't sleep. Imagine that.

Had some dental work done today - deep cleaning and two extractions. Ouch. I opted to have both sides of the mouth done at once so I was in the dental chair for five hours. I am in pain but can control it with meds. My biggest problem is hunger. All I've had to eat since yesterday morning is a cup of yogurt. I tried eating soup but can't eat anything hot and canned soup is gross when it's luke warm. Although it was a rice soup with veggies it was still too hard on my teeth. I'm starving! I don't want to keep taking pain meds on an empty stomach.

I see that the TF has been bestowing more scrollies. Awesome! Hey Tag Fairy - could you fix my splat please? I can't see it.

Did you say dentist? I HATE the DENTIST!!! I feel for you. I would be puking if I didn't eat for so long and NO WAY could I take meds on am empty stomach. Again, I would be SO SICK and puking. OMG, 5 hours. HORRIBLE. I always get a migrain when my teeth are worked on and I have a reaction to novacain. SCARED OF THE DENTIST!!! Hope you can eat and feel better soon.

That sounds like a rough day. I hope you eventually got to sleep and are feeling better today. 5 hours in the dentist chair sounds horrible.

Hi DO! Sorry you couldn't sleep, and sorry about your tooth issues!! Ouch. I don't blame you not wanting to take pain meds on an empty stomach. Blech! I can't help you with food suggestions, but mentally, just keep thinking about that Vegas trip!!

No, I haven't seen Master G around here since before he left for his 3 weeks of art camp. I did PM him with the new thread here, since the old one went into lock-down while he was gone! But, I'm sure he's busy with school and all.

Thanks for the well wishes ladies. I hate and am scared of the dentist too Sadie which is why my teeth were in such bad shape. I was finally able to eat -- grits and egg whites. It's amazing how much better a little food makes me feel. The pain is getting better by the hour. On the pain scale I'm about 6 out of 10.
