I got a really cute dress to wear for the occassion. It's the "girls" first NYE's so I'm wearing a black halter type dress - not too revealing but definitely hot mama ~ ish.

I'm "just ok" and our weather is so-so. The ice is gone (thank God...) and we had a lot of snow melt with a few "warm" days, but it's getting really cold again this week and once again the snow forecast is messing with my vacation-week plans.

Hey there, ladies. I am updating Facebook with Christmas pictures and Thanksgiving Pictures right now. Then I have dishes, vacuuming, and miscellaneous cleaning to do.

Sounds like you have been a busy girl. I spent the day taking down all of my christmas stuff on the first floor. Except the main tree and the garland down the stairway. The main tree has over six hundred ornaments on it.

Sounds like you are ready for a fun evening. We will be staying very close to home. One of the neighbors is having a party and we will be going there. I'm looking forward to it. It's been a while since we have seen all of the people in our little community and everyone should be there.

Happy New Year everyone. Have a safe night. My husband is playing tonight so looks like another year alone. Well, my son is here too. I have nothing to do tonight but worry about my daughter. UGH! I'm calling her in a bit to see what's going on. I'm hoping they plan on spending the night where they go. I hate the thought of them driving home after a party. Terrible night to be on the road.

I hope your daughter and everyone else's family made it home safe and sound. HHI DVC has a New Year's Eve party by the pool. The kids had a party from 7 - 11:30, then there's a family party from 11:30 - 12:30. Only two of the girls went to the kid's party, the rest stayed back and watched movies and played the Wii. Us adults played cards and snacked. We go back home tomorrow. Once again, it's been a great visit to Hilton Head.

It's a beautiful 3-degree morning here in NH.....


Not!!!

Well, it is 3 degrees. But that's not beautiful to me.

I stayed up too late last night....not ringing in the new year but watching a marathon of Disney shows on the Travel Channel (Mean Queen I must pick your brain sometime re: the Disney cruise!!). So I'm tired this morning. Today is take down the Christmas stuff day and do a general cleaning. Blah.

Well, it is 3 degrees. But that's not beautiful to me.

We're going again Thanksgiving 2010. I'm sure it's not sold out yet. Since you'll be in Florida by then, you'll enjoy the short drive over. I'm always happy to answer questions about anything Disney related.

I thought of you on our way to SC. We drove through Ocala. There were a bunch of farms and ranches for sale along the highway. I bet you could get a deal on a house or even a rental right now. But that also means the horse driven economy of that area must not be doing so well right now.

We're wanting to do a land/sea package for our 20th anniversary, which is in 2012. But I'm not necessarily locked into that date!

There are some great rentals down there right now! Hardly a day goes by that I don't find something to totally drool over. I do wonder about the economy, though, and the general availability of jobs. I'm also scouting out the greater-Orlando area, just because it's a much bigger city and might afford more in the way of employment. I wouldn't mind a commute from a suburb to be able to live where it's a bit cheaper (because there's no "winter" weather to have to worry about.... ).

My daughter is home safe. She was going to spend the night at the party, but a girl that left got into an accident. She went into a snowbank and is fine but was at the police station. She had been drinking. People at the party figured they better leave b/c they were afraid the cops were going to show up. My daughter was sober, but wanted to come home. She called a sober friend who came and picked her up. Of course she knows she could have called me. Glad no one was hurt. Scary thought drinking and driving. Makes me mad that even after the recent serious accident, they are still drinking and driving and kids are still getting in cars with people who have been drinking. Will they ever learn?

Mean Queen - You make me want to beg hubby to buy DVC. I checked into it once but it was confusing so I let it go by the wayside. Your trip to HH and party by the pool sound like fun. We had a nice time at the hotel party. Women kept coming up asking me to dance. Hubby thought for sure I knew them the way they were coming up but I didn't. One woman bought me a drink and had it sent over. Another one took the liberty to come over just to tell me how hot I looked. Hubby was like what the heck is going on??? I explained to him it must be the girls. Then he kind of started getting mad - wondering how many men would have approached me had he not been there. It was quite an interesting situation ...

One woman bought me a drink and had it sent over. Another one took the liberty to come over just to tell me how hot I looked. Hubby was like what the heck is going on??? I explained to him it must be the girls. Then he kind of started getting mad - wondering how many men would have approached me had he not been there. It was quite an interesting situation ...

Yesterday he told me of a drunk woman that came up to him and told him that last year she made a new years resolution. My husband asked what it was. She proceeded to tell him that she decided she wasn't going to wear underwear anymore and that she has not worn any for a year. Later she sat down and showed another band memeber her tatoo on her upper thigh. She was holding a cell phone up for light. All of course without any underwear on. She was down right NASTY. After that a drunk woman came up from behind my husband and grabbed his butt and started making some pretty lewd comments to the guys.
