It's time to diet. 
My DH got back from bringing DS12 to school and said the next town over (where the school is) had put down a light layer of sand/salt. OUR town did squat. He said all the buses were late arriving at school and his drive over was dicey at best. Crappy town, I cannot wait to get out of here..... What really irks me is that they just raised our property taxes significantly, and yet they can't properly treat the roads. All that extra money will probably go to the police cheif and his next raise/bonus in his 6-figure salary.....
But thanks for the positive note about the snowfall and the tree.

We are hovering right at 32 degrees and it's raining. We got about a half-inch of snow overnight. So right there you can guess what the roads are like. Did our town do anything about it????......No.
We have one chief, and one officer. The town has maybe 1,200 people total population. I would really just like to know why that chief makes a six-figure salary!!! I mean, it's not like anything ever happens here!...the biggest events in the monthly police logs are domestic mediation (as in a husband and wife or BF/GF are arguing and it gets out of hand) and traffic violations. The rest if fluff (loose dogs, check-the-welfare, and my personal favorite, the "ohmygod-there's-a-bear-in-my-yard, what do I do??!" call)....
