Thanks for voting, guys. LegoMom, you'll be happy with the choice (see my siggie). POR is just like home to us now. I can't imagine going somewhere else.

You can make reservations that far in advance?

No--but because it's a great deal more in 2010 than our last trip, I need to start saving now. DD9 will be 11, making her an "adult", and we'll have 2 rooms instead of one. This doubles our vacation price. It took us almost a year to save for the 2008 trip. It'll take almost 2 years for the 2010 trip. I'll book in August when the prices for 2010 are released.

I can't wait to hear your plans!

It took us YEARS to save for our 1st trip and 3 years for the 2nd. Still paying for those park tickets. :lmao: So is the rule that you can start making reservations 1 year in advance?

I think with DVC you can make reservations up to 11 months in advance. I don't think it's that long for us regular folks though...

In August you could make ressies for the entirety of 2009. It's a year, give or take. When I called to cancel the 2009 trip for June, he was so trying to get me to make reservations for the end of December 2009. He kept saying, "That gives you 6 more months to save." :rotfl:

SadieDog, everytime I see a chihuahua, I remember I was at a conference for teachers. They were talking about the necessity of vocabulary knowledge for kids. The lady said that there are always words we know, though, that we don't always see right. Her sister (a veterinarian), saw the word, chihuahua, and asked, "What's a chee-who-ah-who-ah?" :rotfl: Now everytime I read the word, that's what I read.

:rotfl2: It is a funny word to read and write. I had to look up the spelling. I hope he sleeps tonight.

Speaking of the cold. Guess what I saw this evening - SNOW! It was only a few flurries, but it took me by surprise. I need to get myself prepared for winter.

You're so lucky! I'm hoping to see some next week! :santa:

I hate it. I broke my elbow several years ago and when it gets cold, that elbow kills me.

I hear you there. About 4 years ago I tore my ACL and had to have surgery to fix it. Now a day or two before it rains my knee will be killing me. My mom has started to use it as a fore warning "uh oh, megan's knee is hurting its going to rain" well actually it's either my knee or the dog:rotfl2: (did i mention i have a crazy dog?)

I was driving at the time. That's when I don't want to see it. ;) I think it's exciting when you get the 1st real snowfall of the year. I wonder when that will be. As long as we have a white Xmas, I'm happy.

Good morning.

What breed/breeds is this crazy dog? I have 2 beasts of my own and my mothers puppy for the week. My house is full. The puppy started yapping again at 2:30am, but this time it didn't last as long.

We're preparing for the flurries down here too, of snow birds. When it starts to snow up there, the retirees flock down here. That means crowded restaurants during early bird times, slower traffic, and elderly people wandering the aisles of Publix.

:rotfl2: Summer can be pretty crowded in the tourist areas around here.

I bet it is nice up there in the Summer.

I went shopping this morning for "Winter" clothes. I had to grab a few long sleeved shirts for the cruise. I am getting so excited for our trip! I just need to get in gear and get everything packed.
