Mean Queen, I'm sure you have explained this in the past, but...how do I know how many points we would need?

So it's not the cute little multi-colored job, BUT it was on clearance! And it's Mickey!! There's some bling in the little outer hearts, but other than that it's pretty basic.

I don't like the way the 2009 packages are set up. You have to get the dining plan. If you don't want it then everything is seperate.

LegoMom...I love the bag!! Where did you get it? I'm looking for a new bag for the Dec. trip. I do not take big bags into the parks. Just something big enough to hold the essentials.

Would you suggest a new buy or a re-sale?

I bought new. I'd check and see what specials are going on right now for buying new versus buying re-sale. I get a list of re-sales and some seem like great deals, but others aren't that off from buying the newer resorts (with a longer contract.) It also depends on where you want to buy. You can only buy from DVC at AKL or SSR. You can buy others resale, but the prices on Boardwalk and Beach Club aren't that much lower than new and the contract amount is shorter.

Mean Queen, I'm sure you have explained this in the past, but...how do I know how many points we would need?

Figure out how often you plan to go each year, for how long, and the accomdations. There are points calculators you can put in the dates to figure out how many points you would need for that stay. The points values for a stay remain basically the same, but annual fees do go up a bit each year. Though not as much as the cost of hotel rooms seem to go up.

I recommend playing around with dates and room sizes. We ended up doubling our points after we bought them, because not only do we go often, we like to bring friends. The 3-bedroom Grand Villas use a lot of points.

I'm not really doing anything. I have Walker Texas Ranger on the TV but I'm not paying much attention to it. My husband is about 65 miles away playing in a bar for jam night. I live in a small town, he is in what we call a city. He will get home about 1am and has to get up at 4:30. He will have a rough day tomorrow.

Well...long story short. When the kiddies realized that Disney closes early in Dec and good weather for the water parks was not a guarantee they decided they would rather wait. NO CHRISTMAS IN DISNEY!! I was ready to cancel and re-book. Hubby and I just looked at each other and... magic happened. A romantic trip for two was placed in our hands. So today I booked a trip that will make the kiddies happy. And hopefully hubby and I will be even happier because it looks like the CSR is getting queen beds . So we will get two rooms there and save a ton of money. So all is good!!

Well...long story short. When the kiddies realized that Disney closes early in Dec and good weather for the water parks was not a guarantee they decided they would rather wait. NO CHRISTMAS IN DISNEY!! I was ready to cancel and re-book. Hubby and I just looked at each other and... magic happened. A romantic trip for two was placed in our hands. So today I booked a trip that will make the kiddies happy. And hopefully hubby and I will be even happier because it looks like the CSR is getting queen beds . Not much. I'm planning to take a long bath so I can finish reading my book. During vacation, I read all three of the books in the "Twilight" series. It was just dumb luck that the 4th book came out last Saturday. I'm reading that one now. I don't like it as much as the other three. But I want to finish it.

I haven't read those books yet. I've heard good things about the first 3. I'm excited about our Christmas get away. There are a few resorts just outside of Disney property that I would like to try.

I'd stay at CSR given the chance too. I've only been to French Quarters once. If I have the opportunity to stay at a mod again, I would try CSR. I loved the size of FQ, but I like to try new things.
