Oh you must!! Look it up where ever you typically rent movies. It stars Keanu Reeves (yum) and Sandra Bullock. SO. Good.

I'm starting to compile a little list in my desk calendar of all the "chick flicks" I'm gonna watch when DH and the boys go to NH for 2 weeks this fall! Time to stock up on tissues, too.

.

I can probably get it through our library.

Don't forget to stock up on the junky ice cream, too! :goodvibes

Guess what?!? I came home to 4 new baby chicks! YAY!

AW! Pictures? :goodvibes

Awwww, they must be so cute.

Oh look, it's almost time for Hell's Kitchen.

:rotfl2: I'm only laughing because it's part of your tags.

I'm waiting for dh to get home so we can watch where we've DVR'd Hell's Kitchen.

I love me some British accent. . .even if it's foul language. It seems less bad when it's peppered with the British accent.

Oh, and no chick pics. The mama hen is really mean and nasty right now. . .

I'm the same way, I just cannot get over Gordon, it's too funny.

Protecting her brood, eh?

No I have not seen it. We rarely rented movies, but now we can't at all. Our little video rental store went out of business.

Netflix!!:thumbsup2

And soon, there will be four new little chicken butts!...:rotfl:

Ben & Jerry's, baby!.....:woohoo: You know, I think I'm looking forward to this time just a little too much.popcorn::

I don't think a mom can ever look forward to alone time too much. :lmao:

Well, it's funny how it has progressed. First, it was just utilitarian -- someone needs to stay with the animals, it's DH's family that they're going to see, so I'll stay home. Then, I started to actually wonder, when we've had some very quiet days recently with the boys away at their camp -- what am I going to do with myself for two weeks?...it's going to be like this, for TWO weeks??! Then, it blossomed into -- Dude......it's going to be like this.....for TWO WEEKS!!!!
:lmao:

Like I said, chick flicks, ice cream, and alone-time.....:cloud9:

I can totally understand the natural progression, my friend. ::yes::

And I say, enjoy! Given that I'm going to be having a newborn in my house shortly, I shall thank of your quiet time with great fondness. ;)

Yeah, you'll be a busy bee, for sure. I remember when my youngest was somewhere around probably 4-6 months old, he had this habit of waking up around 9pm to eat, and then he was just AWAKE! We would sit by ourselves in the living room and I would watch TV while he nursed. I seem to remember watching re-runs of "Cheers" and the 11 o'clock news.

Oh, with my DS, I remember watching the House of Mouse and the original Iron Chef in the middle of the night. It's funny what sticks out in the haze of mommy brain.

LegoMom, I'm down for the count. Just wanted to wish you (and the other nanners) a good night!

Or, in daisyyy's case, Good Morning! Since you like to read this in the wee hours. ;)

I still remember staying up late with my first DD watching MTV videos and the Home Shopping Channel (I never bought a thing, I just was interested in getting a job there since it's located in my home town.) With my second, I never watched TV in the middle of the night. I'd put her to sleep practicing my tap routines or nursing her.

I'd love just a weekend away from the kids or even a night, I can't imagine two weeks.

Life just gets so much easier as they get older! A little independence goes a looooong way!

Yeah. I'm looking forward to that day. Since I am still wiping the rear of my littlest, it has yet to arrive. :confused3

You have got to explain that better. I have a really weird visual.

Hey look daisyyy was here!......in the middle of the night!!:woohoo: You must have been tired to only write one line though.;) And it's socially-delayed goats and a snarky and horny rooster. I've got them both on craigslist and getting some responses, so it may get a little quieter around here very soon. I know my hens will appreciate the break!:rotfl:
