Another lonely Friday night on the DIS by myself....

I'm here now. We had dress rehearsal. I messed up, but apparently we all made mistakes tonight. I hope we do better tomorrow!

Hey DeterminedOne!! Good to see you! :goodvibes How was your week?

.

Not bad. I took a much needed night off on Thursday night/Friday morning. DH had the day off too so we had lunch then saw a movie -- 'The Happening'

Everyone make it through FRIDAY THE 13TH okay?

How did you like "The Happening"? Today is DH and my 11th anniversary. After my recital, we're going to go see the Hulk. I'm not a scary movie fan, so no Happening for me. I heard it got a bit gory. The bodies dropping off the buildings in the promos were enough for me.

GOOD MORNING YA'LL!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY
Mean Queen!!

What a big day you have in store for you today!!
I'm sure your number in the recital is going to be a show stopper!!
And I hope you and hubby have an incredible evening!!

Yeah, it was kind of gory but I enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed the acting. Let us know how you like 'The Hulk'.

And ... Happy Anniversary!!! :yay:

Hey DeterminedOne. How are you this morning? I have heard that this version of the Hulk is supposed to be really pretty good.

...to really set your mind racing.

I just got an e-mail from a friend of mine who moved away two years ago. She starts talking - briefly - about the husband of a mutual friend and how awful it was and how ironic that the family across the street went through this last year.

Apparently she knows all about some "event" and it's the first I'm hearing of it!!! And I live here!!!! I wrote her right back saying I was completely out of the loop, knew nothing whatsoever and to call me right away.

I'm still waiting for word.... The best I can piece together is that this guy died, suddenly and tragically. One of their kids is friends with my DS8, and since nothing was mentioned about him not being in school yesterday and no note sent home from the school (they will do that if it involves a classmate, since this is such a small town), it must have happened literally like yesterday afternoon/night.

So here I sit waiting for word.

And suddenly thinking, that $100/mo. that I complain about paying for our life insurance, suddenly doesn't seem so bad after all....:sad2:

Hey LegoMom. I'm so sorry you are having to wait.

Heart attack.

The guy was only 42 or 43 years old.

Their youngest son, who is one of my DS8's good friends, woke up to find his mom doing CPR on his dad, and both of them surrounded by paramedics.... Can you imagine???

I am just sick over it. This is the 2nd family in a year (kids friends with my friends, live close by, etc.) to lose the dad/husband (other one was cancer).

You know, it makes my problems seem so, so trivial....

Whoever makes up your family - a spouse, parents, siblings, children - whoever you have with you now, don't take ONE moment for granted...

This is sooooo true.

Oh, yes, I'm fine - thanks Smiley! :goodvibes I didn't know this man well, it's just a shock to hear about something like that. I know his wife as the mom of my son's friend, but we never hung out together. Again, in a small town like this, you really know pretty much every family with kids, to some degree!

I have otherwise been spending my Saturday doing chores... Blah!! I had to clean the rust stains out of the toilets, then I cleaned out the car because it was covered all over with pine pollen. Blech! I've been waiting for the trees to be "done" so I can start the clean-up. The porch is next (but not today!:rotfl: ).

Right now I just feel like putting on some Disney music and scrap booking a while!

That does sound great. Don't forget the rope drop music.

I can't believe ya'll are still dealing with pollen. That has been over here for some time.

And I found a chipmunk living under our porch!!!!!!! (no, not Chip or Dale...:rotfl2: )

The little booger has been running around the yard lately with cheeks full of goodies. Then yesterday I catch it running up the lattice and pop into a hole in the insulation. Sneaky!
