All the oil tycoons are doing hot weather dances to bring on the hot weather so we'll use more energy on the a/c this year..... darn them!!

I know...I don't use my a/c in the car unless absolutely necessary. So there oil companies!

And Summer hasn't even officially started. I'm wondering what type of Hurricane season it will be. Yet again, they predict it will be a major year.

I know...it's got me worried too. We have a lot of big trees in the neighborhood so I'm hoping we are spared. If we have a bad season, I'm outta here!

Mean Queen: I forgot to tell you that white vinegar works well for getting smell out of carpet. I used it on my rugs for puppy pee and puke. It's a natural disinfectant making it a great cleaner too. I use it in my laundry with my husband's work clothes.

Mean Queen: I forgot to tell you that white vinegar works well for getting smell out of carpet. I used it on my rugs for puppy pee and puke. It's a natural disinfectant making it a great cleaner too. I use it in my laundry with my husband's work clothes.

I have to second SadieDog. Vinegar is one of those magical wonders. It seems to do it all.

I love vinegar; I use it for so many things. I also use it in my dishwasher instead of the expensive spot free stuff you buy in the store. That reminds me, I need to run some thru my coffee maker to clean it. Today I am trying equal parts water/vinegar sprayed on wallpaper for removal. I will be working on my brother's bathroom. The dark smoke stained wallpaper must go.

No wallpaper here, but I'm re-painting the boys' room downstairs this summer. They want the Buzz Lightyear theme that you can find at the Disney paint section of Home Depot! I'm not buying Behr paint, of course... But I can match the colors pretty good at our local Ace hardware store with something considerably less expensive. DH even wants to put some shiny dryer duct work in some corners to look like they are on a space ship!

Well I'm off again today. I am really starting to want to stay home. The kids are out of school in two weeks. It actually may happen sooner than later, because DH is getting all sorts of odd-job offers coming from people he works with.

Gotta run!! Happy Monday, if there is such a thing!

I hope so too! It can be a frustrating job. Luckily his bathroom is small. We are also going to see if we can rip the rug out ourselves. Some idiot put the toilet on top of the rug. The toilet is not sealed and wiggles. The rug has disgusting smelly toilet water around the toilet. SO GROSS. HORRID SICKENING

Morning all! Thanks for the vinegar tip. I will try that later. So far, the carpet is smelling better but the stuffed animal is not faring so well.

I have to take DD8 to camp then do something with DD2 who will be very upset she can't stay at the bouncy castle place.

Hey Pee-poles!! Well, I just got some disturbing news. My brother knows the owner of one of our local gas stations. He told my brother that as soon as he gets his next shipment in he will be raising the price by .32 a gallon. Here we go...looks like it is on. At least we still have each other.

At least we can visit one another without driving.

Sounds familiar--the first thing I had when I came into work this morning is a hot cup of coffee.

He decided to plan on the floor being rotten and needing replacement so it isn't such of a shock. I'm home for lunch. This wallpaper job is miserable. The vinegar solution does work well if you let it sit a few minutes. However, the paper and border are so thick that it comes off in 2 layers. Then there is another layer and sometimes 2 under that. My neck and arms already hurt from scraping. I used the 16 oz bottle of solution already and need to make more. I've only done around a door and closet and that is not even finished. Basically this sucks. I'm heading back down there.

Believe it or not cheap fabric softener works well also. And it smells alot better.
