Hey, all. Eye is not better today. Today is day 4, so I guess after work I get to see my doctor. . .

We had a major thunderstorm earlier. It popped up out of nowhere, like most of ours do. We need the rain so bad.

I think I've narrowed down where DD8 will go for camp. One is an inflatable place and the other is a laser tag/inflatable place with an art session. I may send her one week to each for a half day session.

See, I'm not even going in November and I am happy !

I just got back from the doctor--when the principal came by to look at my room, he says, "Mrs. ______, what happened to your eye?" I said--"I don't know, I am going to the doctor this afternoon after school." He told me to get out--he was worried my eye was contagious.

So a visit to dear old Dr B later, and I have a bacterial infection in my left eye because I did not wash off my makeup Friday night. Well, at least I feel better now. He prescribed eye drops (for which I waited a whole 5 minutes for at the pharmacy--I love my pharmacist ) and after I put the drop in, immediately it felt better. Better yet, I live 30 min from the doctor's office. My write in appointment was for 3:00 and I was home by 4:15. Typically, I'd wait 2-3 hours to see the doctor. All in all, a productive day.

They still don't have EMH hours or the parades/fireworks up. . .hmmm. . .what are they getting at? I was going to Disney for Thanksgiving in the beginning. I am so glad I changed my mind.

I'm trying to find a summer job. I work for a school district and will be out of work as of next Tues. I can't get unemployment since I get a job assurance letter at the end of the year

My oldest just said, "Mom, I am starving.." I calmly replied while catching up on this thread, "You are also wittistically challenged but that doesn't seem to concern you."

He stood there for a couple of minutes and walked away. Maybe he is online looking that word up?

Apparently something got stuck in my eye. I've never had this happen, and I've been wearing Mary Kay makeup for 4 years! And I don't always take my makeup off. It has to be something more than that. Oh, well. It'll be fixed in a couple of days.

That makes more sense, cause few women remember to take their makeup off each night. And I know MK is good stuff. Just wanted to harass you a bit. You know, kick you while you're down (or half-blind in this case.)

No...I didn't have any rain at the house last night and nothing tonight. If you look at the map, the east and downtown areas are getting dumped on...me...nothing on the west side.

Love that Florida weather. We had a huge quick storm at our house today. DH comes home and asks how the mulch got all over the place. It didn't rain a bit at his work. Up here, there's standing water everywhere it rained so hard and quick.
