I have a question....since we all have tags now...is it time to ask for new tags?

I don't have a tag yet.

It's okay though; my ego defense mechanism keeps telling me I really don't want a tag anyway.

Did any of you get the "boards down for several hours" notice last night?? I came on after dinner, posted to a few threads, then got that message anytime I tried to open a thread.

I had meant to come back but I got to watching Gone With the Wind (had never seen it all the way through) so that was my evening! Y'all were busy in my absense!

SmileyBug, we had a brief conversation recently about blinking and scrolling tags (was that on the old thread??). Someone said that if you blink a lot or move your laptop back and forth real fast you can make them move!...

Did I tell you guys I booked the 3-bedroom beach house at Vero Beach DVC for Labor Day weekend? I am so excited to check it out. We're only staying Saturday/Sunday night. One, Friday was waaaay too many points and two, driving up there after school/work we'd get there so late it wouldn't be worth spending any points on it. I'll be sure to post lots of pictures. I've also booked VWL for Memorial Day and Boardwalk for DH's birthday. That means by the end of this year we will have stayed at all the current DVC resorts. It's an addiction almost as strong as Disney itself.

Sounds fun. I can't wait until we can afford to become DVC members. We're still trying to figure out if we're going to get to go somewhere for spring break. It's been such a cold winter here, we need to go somewhere warm.

Yes. I was in the middle of posting and when I hit submit I got the message. I'm glad it wasn't down too long. Webmaster Alex usually posts an announcement when the boards are going to be down. Maybe we missed it?

Mean Queen - Vero Beach sounds really nice right now. It's zero here right now with the wind chill. My face got so cold I thought it was going to break if I smiled or made any type of facial movements. We've had a very harsh winter. But not to fear, spring is only a month away ... I hope.

Donald - Next time you go to WDW, take the DVC tour. You may be able to afford it more than you know and you'd be staying in deluxe accomodations. I am a total DVC addict and we haven't even tried outside the DVC resorts... yet.

Maybe that's where you splat is. It flew south for the Winter. So what guy did you like best on AI? That 17 year old boy just blows me away. His voice is amazing, he's a cutie, and seems so sweet. I think he can go far if the pressure doesn't break him.

My fave is a tie between two Davids. Archuletta who is totally adorable, good singer and perhaps I'm biased 'cause I remember how good he was on Star Search and David Hernandez who I think is a good singer and looks completely comfortable on stage. What about you? Who's your fave and are you going to vote?

I like David Archuletta (don't remember him from Star Search) and Michael Johns. I must have missed Hernandez. I probably won't vote tonight. Too lazy and don't care enough.

I just spent 30 minutes cleaning up a splat of an entirely different nature..... But it definitely flew! You have no idea how much mileage one can log when hitting the floor from the top bunk bed.... ( <----and that is a most inappropriate smiley....there was nothing funny about it!!!!).

Ugh.

On a much more pleasant note, I just read a thread on the Electrical Water Pageant. Now, I haven't seen that little production since '96, and yet I have the soundtrack going through my head! Wow, I guess you really don't ever truly forget something!

Yes, but since that nice, cool breezy September weather up here is a dark foreboding of the frigid winter right on its heels, I'll lament your 90 degrees and STILL wish I was there! (Actually, I will be there!...we leave for Disney on Sept. 10th!)

Exactly. This year was worse than most. Normally, we have cooler weather by October. This year we've had very few cool days. It's hovered in the mid to high 70's and up for months. Normally, it's upper 60's - low 70's until March. That means it will heat up earlier and our a/c break will be shortlived. Granted, I still think the heat is better than the cold because few things are cancelled for the heat like it is for snow days. And the heat doesn't effect driving conditions (just our storms.)

The weather must be all screwed up this year. You had longer than normal warm weather, and we've had near-record snow. Up until the rain we had a week ago, there was over 2 feet on the ground, and that's here in the southern part of the state! And RAIN!...in mid-February! Just doesn't happen around here. The river down the road is covered in ice and near it's overflow point. There are some places where I'm sure the only reason it hasn't flooded over the road is because of the enormous snow banks.

I don't want to talk about road conditions..... Frozen, rutted slush x pot holes x frost heaves = busted suspension on your car!!!
