Morning everyone.

Smileybug, did you call me an old married person? YIKES
Those are fighting words! I'm not getting older, really I'm not. My kids seem to keep getting older, but not me.

My entryway is BLUE. Not the light color I was thinking, but it will do. I added as much white to the container as I could. It might be darker than planned, but that should hide the dirt better.

So, I was strolling around on the main board this morning, and came across a thread in the Budget board that said some pretty unkind stuff about the Community board...(what that has to do with Budget is beyond me, but...)

Are we "clicky" and rude (and yes, they spelled it "clicky".... ) around here??

Seems to me there are nasty people all over the place, not just on the CB (with the possible exception of the camping board...I've spent considerable time there and everyone seems to be nice....Goes with being a camping type person I think!).

Funny thing is, if they could step back and read their posts from my perspective, THEY are being quite "clicky" and rude themselves!! I think they all need a day with some of these:

Hi SadieDog. No, I wasn't calling you old. I was actually refering to how comfortable we have become with each other. But comfortable can sometimes be boring...SO WAKE UP PEE-PLE!! You paint fast!! Did you paint the trim too? I bet white trim with that blue paint would be really pretty.

I didn't come in until page 9! I saw a lot of people who were regulars in the beginning who dropped off, like Conc, Gina, 5Slays, and LittleBlue. I'd love DeterminedOne to bring back her NSync picture from the Epcot Legend display.

I'm off today to tour a possible preschool for my little one. It's located at a children's museum, so I'll let the girls play after we're done with the tour.

Hi LegoMom!! I agree with you that there are all kinds all over the Dis. But I feel like we are very welcoming here. I love when someone new joins us. Its a chance for new friends and new tags!! Unless you have seem that person in another thread and know that they are just trolling. Like my word..."trolling"?

Anyboard can be clicky if you type too loudly. As for cliquey and rude, just about any of the boards have their cliquey groups where a newcomer will feel like an outsider. Though I do think the CB has been very rude lately with all the political posts. If I see one more "Your Candidate Will Ruin The US" post, I'm going to scream. That goes for either side, though I tend to notice one particular poster who really goes over board with her views.

Which brings me to the tangent of wanting a separate political section for this election year. It's too hard to wade through the many hate filled posts to get to the good ones.

I lurked here for quite a bit because I had learned about the DIS from other message boards, and it didn't have a friendly reputation. Ripping people apart for refillable mugs, pool hopping, chair hogging, and saying a kid is younger than they are. The anonymity of the internet allows people to be much more rude and confrontational than they would be in person.

Ah yes, the comfort of the "old married couple." I can certainly understand that term.

The doors, ceiling and trim are only primed. The primer was left over from something else and is tinted a tan color. I really like the color and wish I had paint that color. It happens to be the same tan as in the tiles. Because I like the color, we are going to leave it primed only until we have the extra $ to buy paint in that color. There are 2 coats of primer on it so it looks like it is finished. The room also needs baseboard, but that will wait also. My husband gets paid more during the winter months to make up for being on salary and not receiving overtime. That is when we can buy a few extras.

I have also seen some pretty rude, mean and snarky people. There are also people who say they tried to join in a conversation, but were ignored. I have had that happen to me too. That's why I took so long to join this thread. I often thought about joining then didn't b/c I thought I might just be ignorned again. Then 1 day I figured I would give it a try. Little did I know how friendly and welcoming you guys are. What a pleasant surprise. Thanks everyone. So glad I joined this thread.

refresh my "old memory" please. Where are you tiling? Is it the floor of your entry way? Your room sounds like it is really coming together.
