What's going on?

It's a rainy day here (again...) so we aren't up to much. The boys are playing downstairs and I'm about to load up Live365 and do some scrapbooking.

Nope, not going well. The cans were dented and rusty around the top. My mother tried putting plastic wrap on before closing the lid, but it didn't help. When I opened the covers, a lot of chipped rust and black flecks fell into the paint. No wonder my mother said I could have those 2 cans. Those are the only 2 cans she has that are no good. I really wanted to finish that room so we could start with the tile. I have a dark blue that is my sons bedroom walls. I wonder if by any chance I have a can of white then I could add a little blue to tint it. UGH

What's going on you ask? Well, I should be painting but nothing seems to be going right. I can't find the paint I was looking for. Found leftover colors that are in my daughters bedroom and the living room paint, but not nearly enough to use. Maybe if I mix the 3 together, I will have enough. That would be interesting. Hmmmm, how much could a gallon of the cheapest paint at Lowes cost?

Yeah, if I could find it. Maybe my husband can find it. I have to stand on a shelf and hold on with 1 arm while trying to reach up high and look thru cans of paint with the other arm. I almost fell stepping down. Maybe it is up there, but I didn't see it.

I don't know about Lowes but I know Home Depot has a section of marked down paint. It's usually mixed colors that people didn't want for some reason but there have been lots of times I've gone there and seen "normal" colors.

Oh that's right, I have seen that before. Last time I was there they didn't have any, but maybe they do now. I looked a couple of weeks ago for the room I am doing now. I'll take just about any light color for my entryway. Not pink though.

We had a good time. We saw "Everybody's Hero." It's the cartoon about a boy who tries to get back Babe Ruth's bat. Though DD2 woke up around 5:45 this morning, so she fell asleep at the end of the movie. Then it took forever to get her down for a nap. Now I'm getting ready to take my older one to dance class.

No, it's not pink. I'm just not into light pink walls for my entryway. I'm not a pastel pink person. It is the same white as when we moved in 14 years ago but very dirty from dogs and bugs. It was pretty bad.

We found the blue paint and a quart of white. It will be a pain to mix, but I'm happy I don't have to buy anything. Whatever blue it comes out will be good enough. It's better than dirt and bug smeared walls.

I have a question...Mean Queen, LegoMom, DeterminedOne, When did this thread start? I can't remember. And to all of you...any idea what the longest running thread is? I'm just curious for some reason.

DeterminedOne posted the first entry to the original thread on 6-27-07! So we've been at this for just over a year....! (I still have that thread in my subscriptions, even though it was locked. Figured I might want to refer back to it someday!).

So I'm here! No, not in bed yet. The boys are in the tub and I'm just DISing.

I worked out on my Soloflex machine this afternoon. Got it at a yard sale for $10! Any idea what it's like to do a bench press with a cat on your face?!.... That's my Pippin....oh so helpful.

I can't believe it's been over a year! How very cool. Hopefully DO will be more active once she's done with Vegas, Baby! But I'm glad to see all the new regulars keeping us chatting.

I'd guess the longest lasting threads would be very old, like the WAPASADI. Stuff that was before my time on the DIS.

What happened?,,,,Perfection happened!! I'm to perfect for a scrolling tag. At least I keep telling my sister that I'm perfect. For some reason she is having a hard time believing me. Maybe we have turned into old married people.
