Believe it or not cheap fabric softener works well also. And it smells alot better. :thumbsup2

I use vinegar for my fabric softener too.:rotfl2: I am on a tight budget right now. I think my brother has some fabric softener. If it doesn't give me a headache I can try it.

Really? You can just cover the walls in cheap fabric softener to remove wall paper? Cool.

Are you doing anything to score the paper first?
What I used is called a paper tiger. It just puts small holes in the paper so whatever you are using can soak through to the back. Makes stripping the paper alot easier.

I would have liked to use a tool, but I don't have one. Can you think of anything I may have around the house that I can use to score the paper? Some places I found 4 layers of wallpaper.:worried: This bites. Can't wait to do this tomorrow too. :rotfl:

I wish I did know of something that would help you. That tool I was talking about isn't very much at all. Might be worth getting your brother to hit up Lowes or a hardware store and get one for you. Because you have to be careful not to score the wallpaper to deeply or you will mar the sheetrock. You have all my happy thoughts behind you with this!!:goodvibes

No. But I did have a frog that lived in our toilet in Orlando for months. He hid under the rim of the bowl. When you flushed, you could see him peek out then climb back in. That worked great for my DD who was potty training at the time. She's love to pee so she could flush and see the froggy. It didn't work so well for our guests. Though many didn't believe me, until they flushed.

Cute!!!!!

HEY...PEE-PLE

:lmao:

It's so funny that you mentioned Master Gracy. I was just thinking about him. But isn't Moms describing PaMoms avatar?

I'm a princess: I thought MasterGrace was princess:, too.

No. He posted pictures of himself in a costume he made around Halloween. He's a great artist. He also posted some invitations he created for his sisters birthday party.

I knew you were a princess: with your own princess:.

I found that the sheetrock is far from perfect. So far there are a few pathetic patches and a good dent. Not that I want to mark it up even more.:lmao: My mother is going to help me tomorrow. I wonder if she would stop at our local hardware store and pick one up. You have to pay twice as much there but the alternative is driving 10 miles to Lowes or Home Depot. I'm off to my last dog obedience class. Though it's still so hot my puppy does not want to move much.

I don't know what kind of look he wants in that room. But an easy fix to bad sheetrock is to take sheetrock mud and spread it on with a trowel. It gives you a semi rough finish. (you just have to kind of play with it.) Just make sure you use a thin coat. I think of this finish as more of an "Old World" look. If you have ever been in an Olive Garden resturant, their walls are like this. I like the look alot. I did a couple of rooms in my other house like this and I am considering doing my kitchen here.

I like that look too and I love Olive Garden tiles.

HA!...I've got you beat - it's 25 miles for us to the nearest Lowe's or Home Depot!! ::yes::

Ok, now that I've written that sentence, it begs the question: exactly why am I excited about that??!!

:rotfl:

We do have a local hardware store and like them very much, actually. Good, personalized service, and the people know my DH on a first-name basis (hmm....is that becase of the personalized service, or is he in there that much?!! ). It's in an old building and has just about anything and everything crammed in there somewhere! Very old-fashioned feel to it and we like it.

So my DS11 had his year-end evaluation for home schooling today!...YAY!! We're officially done. I'll give myself about a month to breathe and then start thinking about what we'll be doing next year. I think he should pick a country in Epcot, research it a bit before we go, and then glean some real good first-hand info when he's there. It would be neat if I could get him to chat a bit with a cast memeber, who's from that country! He's a bit on the shy side, though, when it comes to initiating something like that.

Well look-y there, I'm babbling again....

LegoMom, Our Lowes recently was 25 miles away too. The new one opened last month 10 miles from us. Home Depot came a few years ago. Target opened last month too. I was hoping for Super Target with the big grocery store, but grocery items are limited. I really like Target. It's clean, wide isles and the clothes are cute with decent prices. My daughter really likes the junior and sportswear section. They have certain food items maked down each week so I look for those.

Epcot country is a great idea. There is no way either one of my kids would go up to a cast memeber and start asking questions. Too shy. You will have to let us know what country he picks.

UGH I've been awake since 4am and got up at 5:15am when my female cat, Moria, had another episode. She has started to have seizures. She is laying (or falls) on her side, all 4 legs go back and forth as fast as they can, her eyes bug out of her head without blinking, she twitches and she drools. The worse part is she loses bladder control and gets urine all over herself and where she is laying. Luckily most of the time she is on a plywood floor so easy to clean up. When I 1st spoke to my vet about it, she said if it doesn't bother me or happen often that she doesn't need medication. The last few weeks she has had one 2 times a week and that is just what I have seen. I can't have cat pee all over my house. I'm going to call the vet and ask about medication. I have no idea what the cost will be and I'm worried about fitting that into the budget. She had a lot of pee on her so I filled the bathroom sink up and gave her a dunk. I quickly threw a towel over her while in the sink to control her better so my arms wouldn't be ripped to shreds. Luckily it worked well. Her long hair is a mess. I hope it doesn't knot up too much. Thanks for listening.

We love Target. I just took my boys shopping there this past weekend and it was great. Tons of clothes for them, and what I like is that they stock several different styles, not just one style that's supposed to be "the" style at the time. They all found what they wanted. It's not a Super Target but they do have that small grocery section with great prices. The closest Target and other major shopping stuff for us out in Keene (way southwest part of the state). Lowes is down in Amherst, towards Nashua, but about the same distance. We were supposed to get a Walmart in Hillsboro (just 6 miles away!) but before it all came about, they made a corporate decision to not open several stores that were in the works. Now the rumors are for another grocery store (Market Basket) which, while I think we need a department store more, it would give Shaw's some much-needed competition.

 I hope your kitty is ok. It's so hard to have something not right with them. I would hope there is something you could give her to help, there are so many medications available for stuff these days. I'm sure the seizure doesn't actually hurt her, but it must be scary! Poor thing.

GOOD MORNING!!

Hi LegoMom.
SadieDog I hope things go well for your Kitty.

I have to go shopping today. I need some things for the house as well as groceries. I'm not really looking forward to it. It's going to be HOT. Then I get to come home and clean. :yay: (Yeah, right) Seems like we have all been busy lately. Hope to catch at least some of you on here later.

Good morning, all! Nope. No tag. But hunting for one is becoming fun.

I have a little shout out to all of you on my PTR since Legomom graced me with a visit :goodvibes

And guess what?!? I'll be at the beach in 5 days! :woohoo:

Good morning all!

Well vacation is (sadly) over but I'm happy to say that I've survived the 5 days off without sunburn!!! And I'm actually happy to be back at work today what with the heat around these parts as of late and work being in the glorious A/C (we refused to put ours in at home so early in the season. Why yes, I AM kicking myself in the rear over that decision right now, thanks for asking!). Supposedly the meteorologists are promising today is the last of it. Normally I love the heat but we didn't "work up" to it. It was 55 here on Friday and then suddenly, Sunday, its was in the 90's.

Hope everyone else is having a good Tuesday morning!

:flower3:

Checking in. I had to go into work today and will tomorrow too. Though I got done early today and took a little time for a pedicure and full-set of nails. Now I'm a bit behind on my other stuff, so I'll catch up with you all later.
