We are on the Wonder leaving next week, ports are Key West, Costa Maya, Cozumel and CC, this is our first Disney cruise.

Our oldest child is 8 and loves Mexican food, particulary tacos. We have no planned excursions for the ports, but would like to find her some “authentic” tacos in Mexico.

Any suggestions? Are we missing out by not booking any excursions? We figured we could easily walk around or take a taxi in Key West, and maybe stay on the ship in Cozumel or Costa Maya - wherever we can’t easily get good tacos! Castaway Cay of course we will enjoy the beach.

Any tips greatly appreciated!

Amigos Tortilla bar (425 Greene Street) is excellent! They have square tacos which are kinda funny and very delicious. Also a nice assortment of hot sauces on the table from mild to set your hair on fire (my description). As a dessert option, they offer half a slice of Key Lime pie from the 2 most popular bakeries (together on the same plate) so you can sample both and make your own decision. Highly recommended.

I would think that it would be easy to find something in Cozumel. There is a "mall" that you must walk through when you exit the pier, and then it puts you out on a main street. We walked down that street to Mega, and there were tons of little eateries and bars. I'd check google maps for reviews. I think you'd find something at the costa Maya tourist mall too, but I'd bet the prices would be 6x what you would find in Cozumel.

Sorry I didn't mention Amigos was in Key West but you guys figured it out. I've been to Key West but I haven't cruised there. From what I can tell with a little looking here is that you have 3 potential docks while in Key West. OM is Outer Mole pier, B is Pier B or Westin Pier, and M is Mallory Square. Westin and Mallory are right downtown and a very short walk to just about everything. Outer Mole is on the Navy base and you take a short shuttle ride to get off the base - but that also drops you right in town. The whole is island is 2x4 miles so you are never very far from anything. Amigos is less than a 1000ft from Mallory Square if you end up there. Enjoy your cruise!

We're big fans of Pancho's Backyard in Cozumel but it's at Puerta Maya pier.
