Tables in Wonderland Rant- Should I have this buyer's regret?

When we traveled with another couple we still used our TIW card, although the staff cannot write up your order on 2 tickets, they can split the final bill between 2 credit cards.
For instance, say our bill was $160 for the 4 of us, we could put $80 on our credit card and $80 on our friends cc...or any split you want.

A good rule of thumb, if there is a TS location, they won't offer any discounts at the CS locations. The Values, POFQ, Artists Palette (the odd man out here) and the AK locations.

The card holder doesn't need to pay, they just need to be at the meal. So you could possibly trade off meals? You pay for one, they pay for the second. Or they just toss some cash on the table to cover their portion. That works as well.

Edit: The official rules do say that the card holder needs to pay. However, I haven't had that problem personally.

Thanks, this is good to know. Since we're not staying at SSR/FQ we probably wouldn't be eating at the CS there, though we might in AK. We're staying @ BLT and BWV, and I just don't want to have the hassle of asking my friends for money on check out day if we bill everything to the room, but I do like the idea of two credit card payments at the table (I've already offered to pick up one birthday lunch for their brother/our best friend since its his 40th and the party will include their family of 4, ours of 3, and the singleton who will be giving us cash most likely so swapping meals would also be a bit complicated).

We love the TIW. We usually buy one with every AP and recoup the cost in one trip as we usually go to multiple character meals and sit down services. When we got married we even used it when it was called the Disney Dining Experience and recouped the cost as we used it on our check for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Also reading through all the math here makes me think of the you tube video "the real meaning of MPH". Just like a PP said it depends on your eating style. The TIW also offers great flexibility versus the dining plan. You can choose what you want or how much, no worries about how many credits to use, etc.
