Tables in Wonderland Question

My parents are DVC members. If they buy a Tables in Wonderland membership, can I use it, even if they are not on the trip with me?

I'm asking because my family and I are trying to decide if we want to buy DDP or not for our upcoming trip and an option like TIW is very attractive alternative.

The purchasers name is printed on the back of the TiW card and that person is officially the only one who is allowed to use it.

• Tables in Wonderland memberships are non-transferrable. The Tables in Wonderland member must be in attendance at the meal, present the Tables in Wonderland card, a driver’s license or state ID, and pay for the meal, in order to apply the discount.
• The Tables in Wonderland discount is good for up to 10 people including the member, as long as everyone is on the same check, and the Tables in Wonderland member is paying the bill. If you have the Tables in Wonderland card, and your spouse or partner has the Tables in Wonderland secondary card, together you may cover up to 20 people. Both members must live at the same address and be 21 years of age or older.

When I use my TIW card they never ask me for an additional ID. So it is worth a try.

The use of the TIW card is not transferrable. If the name on it isn't yours, you can't use it.

My experience is the same as Bumbershoot's, unless I know the CM personally, they ask for ID.

As with all things Disney, there's no consistency.

I pay with a CC, so the name on the TiW card matches the name on the CC. I've never been asked for any other ID.

Correct me if I'm wrong but just being a DVC member does not allow you to purchase TIW. I thought you had to be a Florida resident or AP holder.

That changed last year. DVC members can now purchase TIW, $100. An "added perk".
