I’m the one making all plans for my family trip in 3 weeks. There’s 13 of us and I’ll be the only AP holder and getting TIW to save us some money.
I know that TIW only covers 10 people and I know that at our TS reservations we’ll have to let the server know and hopefully they’ll apply the discount to 10 of the 13 meals.

But how does it work at the hotel food courts? We will be staying at AS Sports and will probably get breakfast at the food court a few of the mornings, and possibly one day a quick dinner following a TS lunch at the park and a late afternoon break. How would that work? Do we just all ring up at together? Or can I go back and forth a few times? (particularly if some show up for breakfast a little later than others) Has anyone else done the food courts with TIW with a large group?

On that note - how would they know at the register how to account for the 10 person limit? (i.e. if half of our group grabs food for 13 people but the other half of our party is holding tables for us)

I've used TIW before but it's been a couple years. I don't think counter service meals get a discount.

The only exception that I remember was flame tree bbq.

I'm sure others will chime in with their experiences.

General rule of thumb is the Food Courts at the resorts that don't have a TS restaurant will accept TIW for all meals or any food court purchases even if you just go in for a snack. All the All Stars resorts, Pop Century, Art of Animation & Port Orleans FQ all accept the TIW discount. Sometimes you get lucky & they will discount the refillable mug but they aren't supposed to. I think the one at Saratoga Springs used to accept it also but I don't know if they still do since it's been a few years since I've had TIW.

FWIW, twice I have had groups of more than 10 (13 & 17) where I used my TIW card, expecting that they would discount 10 of the meals. Both times, they took the 20% off of the total for the entire party. YMMV, of course.

We had a group of 11 at Chef Mickey's and we had one TIW card. They discounted only ten of the meals.
