Nearly every restaurant we ate at on our recent vacation insisted on seating our family of 5 at a table that was designed for 4 and adding a seat on the end. This really bugged us a lot. On most evenings when they took us to our table we balked at the small table and were frequently either told that was all there was or that they were 'not allowed' to move a party of 5 to a table for 6. We frequently waited another 30 to 45 minutes to be seated comfortably, and most CM's acted really annoyed by this request in spite of our attempting to explain our dicomfort in the nicest possible way.
Does this seem like a reasonably policy? I know these restaurants are all very busy, but I just spent 6 grand at Disney and think I should be able to reach my plate without having to move 6 things out of the way first.
