I am planning on taking my 12 year old cousin to WDW in June for 6 nights for my 21st birthday. This will be my 20th trip but it will be her first trip. We are planning on doing the Regular Dining Plan but I am having trouble with restaurant choices.

These are the ones that I was thinking of doing:

Boma
50s PT cafe
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace
Chef Mickeys
Cape May Cafe
California Grill
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Ohana's
Princess Breakfast in Norway

The only 1 I am set on doing is the princess brekfast (my cousin loves teh princesses)

So I need for more meals and I need help deciding.
First- I am severly allergic to peanuts. I would love to eat at Ohana's but has anyone here eaten there with a peanut allergy? I know that they have peanut sauces so i'm a little nervous about that. Has anyone had experience with that?
second- On my birthday, I really want to do either California Grill or Boma. Which one do you think would be better? Since i'm turining 21, if I want good wine, would you recommend one over the other?

From the list, ive done: chef mickeys, 50s PT cafe, crystal palace and
WCC.

What would you guys recommend adn are there any restaurants i didnt list that you would recommend for us?

Tutto Italia is a great restaurant ...the room is so elegant and the food fantastic. Hubby and I had the NY Steak strip .....but plenty of italian dishes were at tables around us......they looked fantastic. The service was great too...I am sure that they would have some excellent wines to toast to your 21st birthday..

Biergarten is a great buffet with german oopah band playing in the evening hours. Good food also...

I hope you and your cousin have a great time...

I love the list that you have!
For your birthday I would do California Grill, it would feel a little more grownup then Boma, which is great, but still just a buffet and not all that "special". I was the only one that liked it in my family. CG on the other hand, is fine dining and would be very special, especially with a Wishes viewing and if you want to indulge in some wine or another drink.

You are using the regular dining plan for six nights, which means you will get six TS credits apiece for the whole trip, yet you have enough restaurants on your list for 11 TS credits and are looking for more TS restaurants - have you looked into the deluxe dining plan if you want a dining plan?

If you're planning to narrow that list down to enough for your credits, remember California Grill will cost two credits each. If you keep more of them than you have credits for, you can consider paying for some of them - buffets, especially breakfast, can be cheaper than many a la carte places.

You may want to check the DISAbilities board for information about pre-registering your allergy.

I would do these: Boma (breakfast), 50s PT cafe (lunch), Le Cellier (lunch or dinner), Crystal Palace (early breakfast), Cape May Cafe (breakfast)

Personally, you couldn't pay us to go back to WCC again after our experience there two years ago; we've never done the Princess breakfast in Norway (we did the lunch) and we've never done California Grill as we don't do signature restaurants. We've also never done Ohanas, and Chef Mickey was a big disappointment to us last time (but we prefer breakfast over dinner if you are going to go with that one).

You have a great list. Can't think of any others, but you should have some wonderful meals with that selection.

yeah, I need to narrow it down to 5 (we're only doing 5 sit down b/c we ar egoing to be traveling all day the first day so no ADR that day)

I was on the fence about WCC...we havent been since 2007 adn it was okay but not spectacular so i wasnt sure what other people thought about it.
How is chef mickeys for breakfast? We havent been since 2005 and ive heard that the lunch and dinner are not that great.

For dinner, I think I would rather eat one meal at CG over 3 meals at Boma ... seriously. Boma is great ... but this is your birthday!

My sister and her BF (who is severely allergic to all nuts and many other foods) went last year and he said it was the first time he has ever felt comfortable on a vacation before. He said that at almost every restaurant the chef came to the table to greet him and explain what they could do to accomodate him.

They didn't go to Ohana but we did, and the person at the table behind us was allergic to nuts....the chef came to their table to discuss and it seemed to go well!

yeha we went last year for the first time since i was diagnosed with a peanut allergy and egg allergy and they were amazing. Ohanas is teh only place that makes me nervous with my allergies.

So i think Cali Grill is what we will defintiley try and get for my birthday.

We had a great time at the princess breakfast, its the ideal choice for a little girl :)

And i would def choose Cali grill over Boma !

xx
