We are on the regular dining plan and I was wondering how the meals are going to come. When I look at the menus do I just strickly get what it says under the description for the entree I pick and the desert I pick or are there extras? For instance to steaks come with a house salad? At Teppan Edo do you get the Japanese style salad and miso soup with your entree or do you have to pay extra? Chips and salsa at the mexican restaurants or bread at the american ones? Do we get any of this or only what is listed on the menu under the entree we order? Thanks!!

On the DDP, if you order an entree and it normally has a side with it, then you'll ge the side. If bread is normally provided with the meal, then you'll also get bread. So for example, at Le Cellier none of the entrees list breadsticks, but they are provided as part of the meal regardless of payment method.

I've not eaten at Teppan Edo, but based on the menu description, I would guess that salad and miso soup are extra. I don't actually remember very many places providing unlisted items (like salads or soups). I only remember breadsticks at Le Cellier, bread and olives at Tutto Italia, bread at Narcoossee's and Olivia's. There might have also been bread at Les Chefs (but I can't remember if that was because of the soup or if it came standard) and RC. I do not remember any unlisted items at CRT, any of the buffets, or Kona (breakfast).

Usually you get just what is listed on the entree. Most don't come with bread service, certainly no salads.

I didn't mind this so much what I wished they had was at least a vegetable or something with some of the meals. I remember having the Crock O'Mussels at Raglan Road that was literally just a big bowl of mussels in a bowl. I thought it was odd.

Delicious but odd.

However some places do offer bread with the meal, but not a salad. The salad is extra.

Certain restaurants give you a veggie and a starch with the "meat" portion of your meal. Other places (like LeCellier) just give you the starch.

So if it is important to have a veggie look for menus that offer it, if you don't want to pay extra OOP for one.

Have a great trip!!

Thanks everyone for the responses!! This gives me a better idea of what restaurants to book!

When we went to Teppen Edo we ate at the hot table and got everything that normally comes with it. Soup, sautéed veggies, rice and your entree. Very good! And of course desert and a soft drink.:woohoo::woohoo:
