"TA put a space in my name where the apostrophe goes" question

I booked three rooms for July with a TA to get a better discount. We have an apostrophe in our last name and I have to leave it out on MDE. I have our last name as one word, but she put a space in between the first and second letter of our last name.

Now when I go to link the ressies to MDE, I'm getting the message "we were unable to locate these guests. Please match (or add) them to your Family & Friends."

Could this be a potential problem with magic bands?
 
Yes it is possible. Our TA spelled my fiancé'slast name wrong on our last trip, and nothing would sync properly until it was changed. Call and have it fixed to avoid any unpleasant surprises while planning.
 
thank you! I did email her, I was hoping someone would post to make sure I wasn't over reacting. I had so many problems with my magic band in November and then again in January, I really didn't want to have to deal with guest services again.
 
We have an apostrophe in our last name and we have had a ton of issues with not only Disney but most online sites. Now, unless it is for legal or air travel issues I leave the apostrophe out of our name. We even have an issue voting in our town because of it. We had the same problem with Disney four or five years ago, they made the 1st letter of our last name our middle initial, DVC guest services fixed it for us. Good luck !
 


I would call Disney and have them straighten it out on the back end. We had an issue with names of our traveling companions on our November reservation, which I knew was going to be an issue, so I called and was directed to a website support cast member who was able to get everything straightened out perfectly. It took a little bit of time but I would much rather know that it was handled correctly (and be able to confirm while on the phone with them) than leave it up to a TA.

That's what I think Disney will do, make the first letter of our name all our middle initials. I just see this nightmare of this is the band to open our room, this is the band with our ticket media...

Ugh that's so annoying, we have only used a TA once years ago for our first trip, so although I knew that you had to go through the TA for any changes to your actual reservation, I really thought that the website specialists would be able to help you with getting the names lined up appropriately for you. hopefully your TA gets a good CM and is able to get this all fixed for you! We had horrible MB issues our first trip using them and it was annoying to say the least so I totally understand why you would want to do everything in your power to prevent that.
 
It's all fixed! Yay! So glad to have only one spelling in the system.

I had problems with magic bands for the last two trips because somehow my annual pass got assigned to my husband along with his own annual pass. So in November I got my band fixed and thought that was the end of it. I got a new style band in January and went to use that and yes it was assigned to my husband, again.
