That is fantastic! If I could have one come out like that, I'd do it in a heartbeat!I had one made by a lady in our church for DD as a Christmas surprise. So, so happy with the result. By the time the woman finished quilting, you couldn't tell they were tee shirts.
Wow! What a wonderful gift.I made one for my BIL's partner after BIL passed. Hardest thing was that all the T-shirts had different sized images widths and heights. I finally sorted them into 3 widths and laid them out on the floor to balance sizes and colors. Most were darker shades - grey, brown, burgundy, loden so I edged each piece and outer border in black.
Important thing I learned from friend who had done one - iron Pellon (or similar) stabilizer on the back before you cut. Keeps it from stretching out.
I used a roller cutter and long ruler to make sure cuts were straight and square. Will try to find picture to attach.
My daughter has one from 2001. Her high school paid for the 4 seniors to have one made. All 4 seniors played on different traveling fast pitch teams. As you probably know, they buy tee shirts at different tournaments so we gave the lady I think 15-20 shirts? She did something special which I didn't know, she embroidered in the middle Alabama World Championship USSA inductee 2000. I have no idea how much it cost as the school paid for it but she still has it. I highly doubt if she didn't have it, she'd have no idea where all the shirts would be today.Has anyone ever made one of these? Or had one made? Were you impressed or disappointed with the end result?
