Thoughts on the restaurant?

Do you think it will be too much for a 5 year old? Or her two dads? LOL!

Trying to finalize ADRs for our trip.

Thanks everybody!

If she (and her dads) like Rainforest Cafe, this place will probably be a hit. Lots of interesting things to look at, stuff to buy, better than Mickey D food, and pretty dang noisy.

For what it's worth: My 8 YO grandson got a little bit up on his paleontological high horse about there being mammoths mixed in with the dinosaurs. :rotfl:

It's cool for about 30 seconds...for a 5 year old, I think it would depend on their level of security and if they get scared easily. During the asteroid impact it gets very loud and the animals make a lot of noise.

Food wise...maybe one step better then McDonalds.

Thanks!

I think we will do HDDR instead. We have TONS of character meals already set up . . . we were just looking for something to do during our "off from the parks" day.

Do you think she would like HDDR??

Yes! The Hoop is so much fun! And we've been there with my cousin and her little girl (who was 4 at the time, I think) and she loved it!

and there's other fun stuff to do @ Ft Wilderness too if you get there early -- pony-rides, playing in the sand @ the beach, touring the draft horse barn. There's also monkey bars in plain sight (and easy kid retrieval distance) of Crockett's Tavern's back porch -- if daddies want to sit in a rocker with a beverage while waiting. :thumbsup2 Thumbs up for the HDDR

Some kids (and few Dads) might be scared by the roaring dino's but in generally all the kids I saw there were fine. It is sometimes pretty chaotic with all the stuff going one. Food was fine but not great.

LOL. Just had this conversation with a friend!

Nope, give it a miss. We took our little guy there and were totally displeased with the level of service he received. He was the only one eating and the server made it clear that his meal was beneath her notice.

Not a good way to impress doting relatives, eh?

Too noisy (in an obnoxious way) lousy service and food that is easily missed.

HDDR is a much better choice!

definatly take HDDR over t rex... that's a no brainer question. And you can easily spend your entire day at the fort. So many cool things to see and do. Check out the fort board for some fun stuff to do there, some of it free, some of it will cost a little bit. It's a small amount for the pony rides. And she can even ride one of the white ponies that pull cinderella's carriage in the christmas parade. Talk about getting major cool points for that.
And if you go to the earlier show, you can go to the meadows for the campfire and movie... and unlike the other deluxe resorts, it all started at the fort and it's the only campfire that chip and dale go to.

I think she'd love both of them!

Just had to say, she looks BEAUTIFUL in the Christmas card you sent out! Everyone at work has commented on it :goodvibes

Thanks David. SHe is actually in Disney now with her grandparents. We will be back in May - woo hooo! We cannot wait to get back to the world.

My parents took her to T Rex and she loved it - grrr . . . I made HDDR ADRs. All well, it will be new to all of us - lol!

Get the eggplant bruchetta. It's sooooo good!

We are originally from Kansas (where the original T Rex is) and it is a must do every time we visit family. The desserts are to die for and HUGE!!!!!!!
