T-Rex & The Plaza

How fast do you think these places book up? I'm considering getting ADR's for these 2 places, but kinda want to play it alittle loose the days I'm considering. We may just want to counter service it, depending on where we are at in our day. Also, are they good choices? We are going Jan 21-30th.

We love T-Rex - we were able to get a reservation there over the 4th of July weekend last month by calling the day before. It cannot hurt to reserve in advance just in case.

The Plaza is really small and perhaps more difficult to do at the last minute. I would be more inclined to book an ADR there - it is a popular place but small.

I have reservations for T-Rex for Oct. I am taking the grand kids there while Mom and Dad go out for a nice dinner. We ate at the Plaza on the 4th Of July for dinner. Not a lot of choices, but it was very good. I had the club sandwich. I would go ahead and make the reservations and then cancel as soon as you know for sure. Weather that be 2 hours before or 2 months.

Just know that T-Rex (and both RFCs) only release a small amount of tables to Disney for reservations. This means that calling the restaurant direct can usually score you your desired reservation when Disney says they are all booked up. Quite often, people have been able to walk-up and get seated in a reasonable amount of time (but not always!), but it's always best to plan ahead anyway.

LOVE T-Rex! Our kids think it is the coolest place to eat in WDW! The atmosphere alone is worth it! Our food was actually quite good as well though! I just booked an ADR online, but PPs are right.. you can also call direct to book or walk in. We waited about 50 mins in Nov when we did a walk-in...
